Dined here more than once on our trip to Sanibel. Wonderful food, amazing service, and THE BEST mojitos I have ever had. Had to buy the t-shirt and 2 souvenir glasses. :) Have the crab cakes, shrimp, or chicken sandwich. Can't go wrong with anything here!!! Can't wait to go back!

We arrived after a storm so our wait was lengthy because power had been off due to the storm. Understandable. Ordered the calamorie for an appetizer. It was excellent and plenty.... More

We travel to Sanibel every year and eat & drink here occasionally. It is located away from town. Southwestern/ Mexican flavor. Good food

Doc Fords has been a long time favorite on Sanibel Island. Over the years I've enjoyed the atmosphere of both the bar and the restaurant. One of my favorite dishes is the "Yuccatan Shrimp" slightly spicy and full of flavor. The big news here is they now to "Yuccatan Shrimp Taco's" really good but hard to choose over the "Fish... More

We were told to visit doc fords by a family member and we weren't disappointed. Local seafood, local beer and good attentive service. Neat going to a restaurant that has a true local background.

My husband and I ate there last night for the first time, I'd read the reviews and was not disappointed. Sarah, our server, was very efficient and friendly. We shared a plate of mussels and they were in the best tasting sauce I have ever had with this dish. Hubby had paella which had lots of fish, sausage and other... More

We have always looked forward in going to Doc Fords on Sanibel. In fact one week we went to Doc Fords 5 days in a row last year. We went this Friday night and I had dry not so good Cuban Sandwich. My wife noticed that the quality had changed and said they must not have Chef Nelson , whom... More

Went to dinner there twice while vacationing in Sanibel. LOVED the shrimp tacos. Great flavor, fresh shrimp and a good portion. Apps and salads are great as well. Cool drink menu and some terrific key lime pie was had by all!

My favorite place on the island. Atmosphere is great. Food is phenomenal and if you love rum this is definitely the place to be. And the other alcoholic drinks are just as good And just found out about one of their new rums made just of the island called wicked dolphin. Regular. Spiced , and coconut. OMG!!!! Pick up a...
