Our party of four enjoyed the atmosphere and food! Two of us ordered a burger which was cooked exactly as we asked and both were very happy. One had the cheese steak and loved it. The last person ordered the Cajun chicken salad and was just okay with it. She didn't really care for the taste of the chicken. We... More

Had the fish sandwich last year, and was not disappointed on this visit! Best fish sandwich ever! Also had great rum drinks (recommend Doc's Cure!). Great food, reasonable prices. Our trips are always off season, so we never have to wait for a table. Definitely fun for couples and families.

Second time at Doc Fords and it did not disappoint. Great rum cocktails and our chicken tostadas appetiser were fresh and tasty. My wife had the ribs and they were generous in size and tasty, we finished them the next day for lunch! I had the paella which was fantastic and chocked full of scallops, mussels, shrimp, chicken and chorizo,... More

Loved this place. The atmosphere, the service and the meal were all excellent! We ordered blackened grouper and it was delicious:) It was a generous portion and it wasn't that expensive! If you visit Sanibel definitely visit Doc Fords. Yummy :)

Enjoyed the lunch experience. Service efficient. Food enjoyable and prices reasonable. Long time randy Wayne white fan so this place gets bonus points. Will always stop by when it is not too crowded!!! Go ahead and buy a t shirt!!!

Specialty rums, ceviche, Cobb salad with apple cider dressing and fried chicken, and tropical salad with candied pecans, mozzarella balls and a citrus balsamic dressing. But also wings and more typical sports bar food. Definitely a keeper.

Dinner 9/26...ordered the scallop special, it was perfection...so many different flavors you savored every bite. Returned 9/27 and ordered the coconut crusted snapper and again it was an explosion of flavor. The coconut was there but not over powering. Our party of four was extremely happy. Tommy was our server Friday and was wonderful. Won't mention name of server Saturday... More

We went Friday night and 2 in our party had the special Scallop dish. They could not stop talking about how ridiculously good it was. It was a HUGE portion served with black linguine with crab meat, corn, asparagus and other things. My sister and I had the steamed shrimp in some sort of butter sauce with chilies and cilantro.... Quite a few of Sanibel's restaurants happened to be closed for vacation this September, so my husband and I just kept driving until we happened on Doc Ford's. So glad we stopped! Our waitress, I think it was Lisa, was very friendly and had a great smile. I ordered a Lobster Red Ale and my husband got a Doc Ford's... More
