Yucatan Shrimp, Beach Bread and cold beer!

We've stopped at Doc Ford's a number of times - it's a regular destination on our trips to Sanibel. We love the outside patio in back. Perfect place for a couple of appetizers or lunch and a couple of beers. The Yucatan shrimp is excellent and the Beach Bread is a great.

Excellent menu, not typical sports bar food Really enjoyed the appetizers and staff was very accommodating to finding our favorite basketball playoff. Oh and check out the bar area and massive salt water aquarium. Highly recommended!

We liked this place so much we stopped at this one after we stopped at the one in Fort Myers Beach. Good food, the Caribbean Jerk tostadas are delicious.

We were a party of 4 for dinner. We sat outside and were seated quickly, no wait. It was a comfy atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the raw oysters, tuna app, a killer cubano and killer mudslide too!

Friends took me out in Savannah a few months ago for "supposedly" great shrimp and grits, they were really bad. They came to visit Sanibel earlier this month! I took them to Doc Fords for "Great"!!! Shrimp and Grits and Doc Fords did not disappoint! They were great! This was a few days after Easter, the Island was packed, it... More

We were able to get right in during the dinner hour. Lots of space and the big parking lot is a plus on the island. Nice variety of appetizers and rum drinks. Dinners were reasonably priced and served quickly without sacrificing quality. My sweet tooth got the better of me and ordered the carrot cake for dessert. Delious and large... More

We discovered this local favorite purey by accident but would definitely return. Becky our server was appropriately attentive. She made great menu suggestions even going so far as to bring a soup sample for me to taste prior to ordering to make sure it was not too spicy which it wasn;t. Good menu options with nice flavor. The bar staff... More

We had the Yucatan shrimp and raw oyster. The shrimp were simply amazing and the oysters were fresh and delicious! My only complaint was that the staff is not polite or friendly.
