We always have our first on-island meal at Lazy Flamingo. The atmosphere is pure Florida beach casual. Their hot wings are the best we've had anywhere. And any of their fish sandwiches is a good bet. Order a cold one, put your elbows on the table and dig in. Very kid-friendly

GOT FISH? If you are catching fish on the islands, you can bring your fillets here and they will cook them for you. We had redfish and trout, prepared blackened, bronzed, mesquite grilled and fried. What a gorgeous presentation, several pounds of fillets cooked 4 ways with caesar salad, tartar sauce and fries...all prepared perfectly! AND THE PRICE...after a few... More

Had a great little mish mash lunch here. Everything is served on seashell shaped plates and the kids had freebees underneath. The Conch fritters were soft and juicy, and I could taste the Conch, rather then the dried crispy husks most places sell. The wings were excellent, but beware their hot sauce is quite hot. The grouper Caesar salad was... More

We ate at the Lazy Flamingo twice during our recent weekend at Sanibel, both times our servers were efficient and attentive. The food was excellent, the best streamed shrimp I had on the island that weekend. I would rate it as one of the better choices of the places we ate at during our stay.

Best peel and eat shrimp ever! We eat at Lazy Flamingo at least 3 times each visit. Doesn't matter when we go the service is awesome, the beer is cold and the shrimp and grouper are the best on the island!

Went here for lunch, had a nice waitress who paid lots of attention to the kids. Quick service, chicken parm and grouper sandwiches were good. Kids meals come with a frisbee and they have tall high chairs for the bar height tables which the 5 yr old loved so we could sit at a tall table even though the baby... More

There's nothing negative that you can say about the restaurant or the staff. Very friendly staff and very attentive. Thing is, the food is mehh; nothing spectacular or worth spending a night of your vacation to eat there. Basically, if this place was in my neighborhood , it would warrant an occasional visit so the kids could reload on frisbees

We have eaten here every time we have come to Sanibel (at least 8 times) and have liked it. This time the food was mediocre. My wings were overcooked and very greasy. My partner's Caesar salad was oversaturated with dressing. The conch fritters were very good, however. We were very disappointed.

This place has a real buzz. Excellent value for money. All piping hot and good service. Ypu may have to queue at busy times. Will return.

Fun place to eat. Atmosphere is tropical and nautical. Rustic looking. Waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the Mesquite Grouper sandwich and it's the best! Beats the one at the Island Cow (by a whole lot!) and had a bit better flavor than Doc Fords ( although Docs was also a good sandwich.). Prices were much more reasonable than... More
