I've lived here 25 yearsand had no idea what an amazing experience Ellington's is. The food was well worth the price of admission and then the entertainment was over the top. You are doing something very right and do not change a thing. And thank you, James, for helping to make this a wonderful b'day celebration! more

While we enjoyed our meal and loved the music, the service was average and the food was expensive. The atmosphere is very old-school and we thought that was great. Our waiter was courteous, but not in line with what you would expect considering the prices and the atmosphere. It was difficult to have a conversation with my husband across the... more

The best venue on sanibel. Food fabulous, Entertainment unforgetable. We cannot come back to Sanibel without a visit to Ellington's. The Danny Sinoff quartet play a spellbinding routine. My wife and I just had to buy their CD's to bring home with us, now everytime we play the songs it reminds us of Paradise. Can't wait until our next visit... more

Ate at Ellington's on our first night on the Island, and it was a great start to our trip. The room is set up like the dinner clubs you see in old movies, with tables set up around the stage. While the food was above average but not great, the ambience and music more than make up for it. Staff... more

First of all, the house band with Danny Sinoff was great. Bought a cd we loved it so much. Chatted with Danny and found out he's from Newton, MA - near us! We'd arrived late and already had dinner, but near the end of our drinks we noticed little signs informing customers there was a 2 drink minimum PER PERSON... more

We've been going to Ellington's since it opened and the music has always been amazing. The singer there is a young man who has a wonderful voice - a mix of Harry Connick Jr and Frank Sinatra. The service is spotty. For the price you are paying for the food, you would think you might get better, but there are... more

As my title says, if you are hungry please don't go to this restaurant. Food was horrible, the only o.k. food was the crab cakes. We ordered calamari it was horrible but still we kept it. The worst tasting Lobster Bisque has to be here, no taste of lobster even tasted like potato soup. I sent it back. Server was... more

A little pricey on the meals, but I felt like I was paying for the entertainment, too. Food was very good. Threesome was playing and some guy named Paul Venturo casually strolled in and sang a few songs with the band. Enjoyable....but not for kids. more

We've gone to Ellington's for four years straight, but won't go back due to declining quality in food and service. On our most recent visit (12/7/07), we requested a table in the back upon arrival to a nearly empty restaurant. The host declined, claiming that the tables away from the stage were reserved. We were forced to sit up front,... more
