Grandma Dot's is an old time Sanibel staple, and has good, not great, seafood in venue overlooking the boats at the marina. The fish was fresh, but overdone, and there's too much emphasis and fried fish. But if you're in the mood for a friend Grouper sandwich, a Gulf Coast favorite, then this is the place.

A nice place to eat on Sanibel Island. This is at a nice marina and you can choose to eat inside or out. We had coconut curried lobster salad, grilled grouper, and oyster sandwiches. We all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely return next time we are in Sanibel.

My wife and I had dinner at Grandma Dot's three times last week during our vacation in Sanibel. The atmosphere is great, especially if you sit outside overlooking the marina. Service is prompt and courteous. The menu is not large but everything we eat was great. Grouper, flounder and mahi mahi were all perfectly cooked and very tasty. This is... More

Our first trip to Sanibel was heightened by our lunch at Gramma Dots. The idyllic setting of the porch overlooking the marina provided the right atmosphere for the fried oysters I ate there. Accompanied with fresh fruit and sauces, it was well received. I would highly recommend this establishment for a great meal.

This out of the way place. located in a marina, is a gem. My wife and I visit often and always bring our friends and family from out of town. Given the location it's basically a seafood restaurant in a casual setting The fish is fresh, cooked expertly and served with a huge portion of fresh made potato chips for... More

I really like the open air ... old Florida nature of Grandma Dot's. Food very good ... too much to eat all of it. Pricey but don't forget it's on Sanibel. Marina could not be more accommodating!

The week after Easter on Sanibel....can be wall to wall people! We headed out from Captiva for our annual excursion to Grandma Dot's for DH's oyster fix. This year we had a daughter and son-in-law and active 3 year old grandson in tow. An early dinner seemed to be our best bet to avoid the crowds. Arrived at 5:20 and... More

We have been coming here for years! The popcorn shrimp & homemade chips are great! We find it really easy to dine with our toddler here, casual & fun. I would suggest coming early to avoid a wait- its a small place.

This was a really nice place to sit and have lunch. The waitresses were really friendly and help and the food was really very good. I had Chicken Caeser salad and it was one of the best i have ever tasted. The sauce was amazing. The location is good (we arrived by boat) and it was a busy hot day.... More

The wait was worth it. Grouper was excellent. Nice location in the marina area. Staff was hopping and good. Sat outside. Key lime pie was sublime.
