We arrived by boat and docked in the nearby marina. Gramma Dot's was recommended and "she" did not let us down. My wife had the mesquite grouper and I had the coconut shrimp. Both were recommended and both were outstanding. The wait was minimal and service was good. I highly recommend them.

Stopped here for lunch during a long bike ride. Hit right during peak lunch period. Loved the marina location! Restaurant was clean. The mesquite grouper sandwich with homemade fries was great! Clean bathrooms, and able to seat us pretty quickly after a short wait. Recommend!

Recently had lunch at this place. Had to wait but it was worth it. The service was excellent and the food was equally as good. The grouper is fresh! And the ambiance is excellent.

We were fortunate to get a gift certificate to Gramma Dot's for Christmas and decided to use it for lunch on Monday. The restaurant is located in the Sanibel Island Marina. The setting is beautiful, so waiting 15 minutes (actually closer to 10), was no hardship. It is a very popular place, and not very large, so plan on a... More

We came for lunch on a Tuesday and had a 35-minute wait, and it is a pretty good size place. But the day was beautiful and there are a bunch of nice boats to look at, as it is a marina. We eventually got in and decided on appetizers only. The gumbo, get a bowl it is only a dollar... More

Our extended family eats here at least twice during our annual visit to Sanibel--it is by far our favorite spot on the island. Our visits last week were as good as always. The family favorites are the grouper sandwich and the Caesar salad topped with grouper and we always bring home a key lime pie. On our most recent visit,... More

We had another wonderful sunset dinner tonight at Gramma Dots. The chowder was perfect, the mesquite grilled shrimp on Caesar was excellent and notably the Coconut Shrimp is among the best anywhere. I only wish they took reservations.... A nice feature - you can order from the lunch menu for dinner! And Jane was top shelf making sure my thirsty... More

We stopped at Gramma Dot's for take-out after a ride on the Sanibel Thriller. The grouper sandwich for me and shrimp dinner for my son were very good but the key lime pie was the best. I will go again when I can sit outside and watch the boats.

Came here for a late lunch as it was walking distance from our hotel. Although later in the day, the crowd was large and probably not worth the wait--luckily we didn't wait. We had the soft shell crab and grouper sandwiches respectively, both good, but at ~$16.00 each--definitely tourist prices. Oh, and it's primarily a motor boat marina--one sail boat--so... More
