This is an easy-to-overlook local gem located in the marina that serves up tasty seafood. You know it's going to be fresh when you are sitting over the water, watching boats come and go! It is a bit small, with tables close together, but I think that's part of the charm, so don't let that discourage you. Plus any place... more

Gramma Dot's is a cool dining experience. It is located in the Sanibel marina, and has a nice selection of food. Hands down favorite meal is their coconut shrmp - fried perfectly, with lots of taste. Can't wait to go back!! more

Gramma Dot's is my favorite restaurant in all of Sanibel Island! My favorite entree is the coconut shrimp. They are so tangy and crispy and pu cannot find better ones in all of florida. (I tried a bunch of other places) Also when it is time for dessert you have to get the key lime pie. It is so sweet... more

The tables were so close together I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived. We ordered drinks appetier crab cakes and the broiled grouper sandwich. Stale bread, sandwich had no flavor. Crab cakes were not good. Our table was on the walkway to the bathroom. So we took our drinks and stood out on the marina till our food... more

Wish I would have read this before going. We chose to go for dinner after a recommendation- sad to say. Food and service were poor. We felt rushed from the moment we walked in- around 6:30. Waitress was definitely interested in cleaning up and getting off instead of getting our order correct. As others have stated food was bland and... more

My husband and I ate here for lunch on our vacation. The food was good, not great. The restaurant is more like a diner. People were friendly but I was not impressed with the place. more

We arrived early for lunch on a weekday, and its a good thing we did. Food was good, reasonably priced, service prompt and restaurant crowded. But we able to get in, eat grouper sandwiches, have dessert and get out in less than an hour, so we could enjoy the beach and the sun. We liked the surroundings (the marina), because... more

Just had dinner at Grandma Dot's and it was excellent. Very nice atmosphere, friendly hostess and waitress. Was given an excellent table with a beautiful view of the marina. Would definitely go there again. more

We had great anticipation about eating at Gramma Dot's Restaurant but were greatly dissapointed in the tasteless crab cake sandwich. It had too much bread filler and very little crab meat, 2-3 pieces. Sadly, we left very dissappointed after great anticipation of this highly regarded restaurant .
