I was expecting alot when I stepped into this small cafe. I had heard it was "the best" place for b-fast on the island. My opinion is mixed. My food was good, though not outstanding. I oredered a "hot" bloody mary, for 6.00, and what I got was an overly sour tomato juice drink with a cup full of ice.... more
From always perfectly cooked eggs to fluffy pancakes to delicious omelets, the Lighthouse Cafe always delivers. If you only eat breakfast once while on the islands this is the place to do it. Be sure to try their homemade strawberry jam! more
Very good food, moderate prices. We ate breakfast here and the servise was quick and friendly . more
My wife and I ate breakfast here on 10/3/09 - we'd never stayed at this end of Sanibel before and heard that this restaurant was quite good. We were both very pleased with our meal - the banana nut french toast was incredible - give this place a try! more
We rode our bikes to the Lighthouse Cafe about 10 a.m. for breakfast this morning. It's slow season so there was no wait for a table. It's a small, cute cafe with photos and paintings of lighthouses covering the walls. Our drink orders were taken right away. The server showed up to take our orders within 2 or 3 minutes... more
The entire time we were on the island, we kept hearing "Make sure you get to the LIghthouse Cafe!" So on our last morning before heading to the airport, we made sure to go to the Lighthouse Cafe - we were not disappointed! I just wish we would have gone earlier in the week so we could have gone more... more
This is the closest to home cooking for breakfast on the island. The food is great and the service is friendly and fast. We always eat here for breakfast when we are on Sanibel. Don't miss it! more
The Lighthouse Cafe claims "the world's best breakfast." If it isn't, it's close. Wide range of breakfast standards done right and served up by an energetic and friendly wait staff. more
I wish I had viewed prior comments about the Lighthouse Cafe, although we didn't really plan to dine there.
