Seriously good food

Not sure why this place is ranked so low. I thought the food was very good and the menu is not standard by any means. The atmosphere is very intimate, but suitable for families. There are 2 tables that overlook the kitchen. The service is very good, friendly and helpful. Food is fresh, very... read more

We chose this because it had great reviews and was supposed to be cozy . We must have been there on an off day because as soon as we walked in there was a weird, funky smell. We were seated at a table by a wall that was FILTHY!! There was probably a chair rail there at one time because... More

Have been a consistent customer for years. Come here once or twice a year during our vacations on Sanibel this year the experience was markedly different. The service was perfunctory, the food had changed and NOT for the better and even the wine lust was substandard. Hard for me to believe that Jolie Black is still involved. I do not... More

We have had the honor and pleasure of dining here 3 times the past 3 months and have been so satisfied with each experience. The first time just my husband and myself. It was so magical we had to bring our friends, they were so impressed so we brought the family for our 3rd dinning pleasure. Everyone was extremely satisfied.... More

After living in Italy for several years (more than 8) we were pleased to see the 'antipasti' displayed on the counter. Therefore, we ordered the antipasti for 4 and were absolutely shocked when a pile of 'stuff' arrived that looked like a volcano of vomit! WHAT? I wanted to help them immediately...showing them how to display the food properly and... More

In the most serious sense of the word, you experience was not acceptable with your service, your antipasto and entree's you had. I have a few things to rectify with my staff and won't be seeing these issues again. I can and will promise that. I hope we will see you again and want to extend my apologies to you... More

Third time eating here. Previous visits in 2013/14 were great. Wait staff tried but inexperienced. Did not know menu. Food was horrible. Antipasti plate was stack high no presentation. Pasta and risotto horrible. Would never return. The owners should be ashamed. Having lived in Italy for multiple years I don't expect great Italian in the U.S. But this was a... More

I want to apologize for the service and presentation you experienced you received at our establishment and wish to extend our acknowledgment to what we did wrong and what we will improve. The antipasto should be displayed neatly and beautifully layered. As I was not in that evening I take it upon myself to blame and will rectify the display... More

We told them about our Groupon when we ordered our meal, which consisted of two glasses of wine, two salads, two entrees and two desserts. We asked for the bill and reminded him of the Groupon we wanted to use. He said, "OK, no problem." He brought our bill to the table and it was for the full amount (knowing... More

Only seats 40 and wasn't busy the night we ate there, but the food was excellent as was the staff. Try the Short Rib entree or the veal picatta. Average wine list

I had Lamb Chops and my husband had shrimp with sweet sausage over pasta. Both meals were amazing and almost all food items are made on the premises. Our waiter, Tony couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. We recommend this restaurant to everyone. We used a groupon which made it very affordable. Try this place, you'll love it!

Great Service, flavorful food! If you're looking a unique Italian restaurant in a remote natural island setting, this is the perfect restaurant. Next door is an art museum with great local artists collections that you just walk to before dinner. Perfect for a leisurely afternoon. Can't wait to be back.
