Hit or miss

Last year we had some of the Italian meals we have ever eaten here. They changed Chefs and now it is just average. Still good but far from what it was..

We ate here twice, the first time was excellent. The antipasto salad for 2 actually fed 4 of us nicely. Everyone's entree was excellent. Our 2nd visit was not so good. There were 2 of us, we again got the antipasto salad. It lacked many of the meats we expected, there was only one shrimp. Our entrees were good. We... More

Ate here a few days ago, and have been here multiple times. Generally very good true Italian fare (i.e., not just pasta and no pizza...excellent risotto, antipasti, etc.). At this most recent visit, we each had one of the evening specials. My husband loved his pork chop stuffed with spinach and cheese. I had the sea bass and it was... More

Sanibel version of an intimate NYC Italian bistro specializing in the flavors and freshness of Sicilian seafood. Service was prompt and personal. The food was fresh and well prepared and the atmosphere was cozy and casual. The antipasti was displayed as you enter the restaurant and did not disappoint. Salad, entree, and dessert were equally as good.

Hi Folks, This place is quite surprising out here on Sanibel Island. It is a high end Italian Restaurant. It has a fine selection of good Italian classics and a kitchen that knows how to execute them. One of the servers is a little over the top but that's all right - he thinks he is in midtown NYC. The... More

We were immediately taken by the restaurant's small dining room. On a busy night it must get crowded, but we were there on a Monday and the room was about a third filled. The lighting was intimate, a series of copper piping (the same used for plumbing) with specialty bulbs on the spurs. Quite a nice atmosphere. The food was... More

We were told that this restaurant was wonderful, but we must have gone on an off day because it was anything but. There was a weird odor when we walked in and were seated at a table by a wall that looked like people threw liquids on it for months. Then there was the doors going into the kitchen. I... More

Seems a bit slanderous. Yes the door seems to be dirty we paint it once a month just so you know. The feel to the restaurant is rustic. Not sure what wall your talking about. We just had a new floor put in as well as new furniture and booth seating . We have plenty of patrons that adore the... More

We found this restaurant by chance. we pulled into the parking lot of what looked like a house with a gallery , no signs visible but we could smell the food. We found an entrance off the back of the house and when we opened the door we felt like we were in a fine Italian restaurant with white table... More

This has been our favorite Sanibel restaurant for some time. But our visit this year was a big disappointment. It started badly when we arrived on time for our reservation but were forced to wait 25 minutes for a table. We were seated uncomfortably and while the management did eventually apologize it was a bad start. As Open Table had... More
