Every time we visit Sandestin, we make it a point to eat (at least once) at Acme Oyster House. We have had the po-boys and the red beans. Truthfully, they are good, but I have had better. Now, the oysters? This is where this place really shines. We can go through dozens of their grilled oysters. They are really excellent... More

We are from New Orleans area. And we found the food here on par with what we serve in our homes. Char broiled oysters are the best.

Whenever I am in the Destin area, I always make it a point to have at least 1 meal here. Good juicy oysters on the half shell, good po' boy sandwiches and a variety of other cajun and seafood staples. Depending on the time, you might have to wait, but there is plenty to occupy your time. Reasonable prices and... More

Tried it last night with my family. Adequately priced...had a couple of Po Boys which were good... Must have it with kicked up mayo and chargrilled oysters and salad. Patron margarita made it all good. All in all we had good time, good food but not spectacular. Drink was nice and strong.

Great service and good food. I had the fried shrimp and really enjoyed it. Husband had a po boy and enjoyed that.

We stopped by for dinner, had 8 of us and had to wait 1 hour (we arrived at 8:30 pm on a Thursday) not a big deal, we were seated in about 35 minutes which was good. No outside drinks could be brought in so my daughter pitched her virgin daiquiri so she could join us. I had the jambalaya... More

We stopped in here for lunch a few weeks ago on vacation. This place knows what they do best and they stick to it. The menu is not overly expansive. Stick with the shrimp po-boy (fried and grilled or both good), oyster po-boy, or fish po-boy. I have had them all and enjoyed all of them. The real winner here... More

First let me begin by saying I am not a fan of oysters, especially the raw ones, but the chargrilled version is simply amazing. The venue has outside seating that is a people-watching mecca. The service was excellent as well as the food.

The hostess told us we had to toss out our drinks before dining so we walked around to see our other options and every other place accepted outside drinks except Acme. But my friend wanted to try this place so we finished our drinks and dined here. I got a shrimp po boy, the shrimp was well seasoned but the... More
