The restaurant is located in the Baytown resort area of Sandestin. You have to get a pass at the security gate to enter. It wasn’t crowded for lunch on a Wednesday in the off-season. We have eaten at the New Orleans location and this one does not compare. The dirty rice and gumbo were both lukewarm and the rice was... More

Yummy food and good atmosphere. We got our food quickly and the servers were very nice. Especially with a screaming hungry toddler.

We arrived at a weekday and the host told us to wait for a table outside. So we went to the bar, had a drink and were offered a table inside. I asked her about a table outside, as we said when we arrived. She just commented - and seemed quite angry - that she has not tables outside. At... More

Enjoyed it, great dining experience, we dinned there two times during our stay, authentic, New orleans style cuisine

Every time we visit Sandestin, we make it a point to eat (at least once) at Acme Oyster House. We have had the po-boys and the red beans. Truthfully, they are good, but I have had better. Now, the oysters? This is where this place really shines. We can go through dozens of their grilled oysters. They are really excellent... More

We are from New Orleans area. And we found the food here on par with what we serve in our homes. Char broiled oysters are the best.

Whenever I am in the Destin area, I always make it a point to have at least 1 meal here. Good juicy oysters on the half shell, good po' boy sandwiches and a variety of other cajun and seafood staples. Depending on the time, you might have to wait, but there is plenty to occupy your time. Reasonable prices and... More

Tried it last night with my family. Adequately priced...had a couple of Po Boys which were good... Must have it with kicked up mayo and chargrilled oysters and salad. Patron margarita made it all good. All in all we had good time, good food but not spectacular. Drink was nice and strong.

Great service and good food. I had the fried shrimp and really enjoyed it. Husband had a po boy and enjoyed that.

We stopped by for dinner, had 8 of us and had to wait 1 hour (we arrived at 8:30 pm on a Thursday) not a big deal, we were seated in about 35 minutes which was good. No outside drinks could be brought in so my daughter pitched her virgin daiquiri so she could join us. I had the jambalaya... More
