I went to Cantina Laredo to try to find a good Mexican restaurant in an area where most of the restaurants are your typical taco/enchilada style restaurants. Having spent time in Mexico and Texas, I miss the more traditional Mexican fair. Unfortunately, Cantina Laredo, did not meet my expectations. Though the atmosphere was a much higher scale then your typical... More

We enjoy Mexican food but did not care for the food here, Service was excellent and decor was clean and modern. Banquette seats were too low for me to be comfortable but my 6 ft 6 son was satisfied. The noise level was way too loud for me...outside seating would have been a nice option if it had been warmer.... More

Modern Mexican is how this restaurant describes itself. My mother-in-law does not enjoy Mexican food but loved this place. The presentation was good though the food was not exceptional. Making the guacamole at the table was a nice touch. They used black beans for their refried beans which we appreciated. The bonus was the desserts which were to die for.

Food is really good. Love the fresh table-side guacamole. Best tasting salsa around. Ceviche is pretty good. Some days it's better than others. The brownie with cinnamon ice cream and brandy butter sauce is awesome! 9 out of 10 times...service is good.

I really wanted to like this place. A pet peeve of mine is "low" seating. I am about 5 ft 2. The banquette seat was so low I could practically shovel the food straight from plate to mouth. We ordered cerviche for an appy and it was excellent. But, we had barely started to enjoy it when they brought out... More

Always pleased with the service and the food. Ample servings, great taste. Reasonable prices. Seating indoor our outdoors. Fairly friendly towards my service dog. That's a big plus for me.

There was a short wait so we went to the bar for one of Ashleys great marguerite’s and some good conversation with other patrons. When at our table we ordered the guacamole made at our table. I had the brisket taco and my wife had a salad with chicken and mango. We asked for a sample of mole which was... More

My lunch, slightly overpriced, was good. I got brisket tacos, and I would have rated them very good if they had not been sitting in a puddle of oil. The black beans were quite good and the rice was ordinary. Hubby got enchiladas, and they had potatoes with ground beef as stuffing. And they were topped with sauce and what... More

We had walked past this place a couple times and it was always full, so one night we decided to give it a try as a change from our seafood diet. While it appeared very busy, we were seated right away and our drink orders taken promptly. Service was attentive and prompt; we were near the kitchen, which she usually... More

Such a nice surprise to how delicious it was! Brisket tacos were amazing! Hubby got the ribeye special and said it was superb and fork tender. Pomegranate mojitis are delish!
