Unfortunately, it looks like the out of the way location may not have been a good choice for them. Liked the happy hour there, it's a loss to the area.

Loved the food here! My first time and had heard of this place from a friend. We sat on the upper deck, overlooking the marina. Perfect night with a perfect friend and wonderful meal and service. Highly recommend!

Stayed by John's pass for 9 days. Read ahead about Alma and was not disappointed. Food is out of this world and staff are amazing. Ended up eating here 3 days in a row. Had everything from amazing tapas and cocktails to delicious main course. Our favorites were the mahi and bacon wrapped scallops. We will be back next year... More

This is a really good restaurant that you don't want to pass up because it is on the second floor behind the boardwalk at John's Pass. We had great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Loved it. I had the four course meal (appetizer, salad/soup, main course and then dessert) and every part of it was delicious. My husband... More

We decided to go to Cafe Alma to try their half-price tapas during their happy hour. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Our favorite was the pulled duck quesadilla. I'd highly recommend! Service was good too!

We ended up here as a default because John's Pass restaurants were overcrowded and deafeningly noisy. The menu is impressive, and the 2 entrées ordered earns a free bottle of wine was welcome. We had the ahi tuna, the red pepper soup, wedge salad, and the bacon gorgonzola red grouper. Everything was delicious, our server, Steven was courteous and professional,... More

My wife and I went there on Valentines Day and were very excited because of the very high reviews. We got reservations and arrived a bit early but were still seated right away. The interesting thing I noticed when they were walking in was that no one already seated had food. I thought that's a bit odd but maybe they... More

We were so disappointed to find our our favorite restaurant Cafe Alma downtown St Petersburg had closed due to increasing rent. We learned they have moved to Madeira Beach. The same fantastic happy hour. Fabulous prix fixe dinners. Varied menu. You will not be disappointed. Every dish is insanely delicious! Best value in all St Pete area.
