I've been a long-time patron and huge supporter, even considered the owner a casual friend, but that all changed on October 5, 2013. Took a party of children there for my daughter's birthday because it was her favorite place. Found a chip of porcelain in my food. Thought it best to discreetly inform the manager because I did not want... More

No one loves a spot of tea more than I do but I would NEVER go to this place after the horrible way my friend Elizabeth was treated there. The manager yelled at her for discreetly pointing out that there were fragments of the plate in her food. He did this in front of her daughter who was celebrating her... More

I heard from my friend that having the manager yell at customers and throw them out is a little off putting. And in front of their little girl's birthday party too. Shameful. I was looking for a place for a wedding reception, but I can guarantee that this will never be considered.

I've enjoyed tea at A Corner of England several times. The last vist I made there was with my sister and a friend for her birthday. We selected several hats to wear and enjoyed a High Tea. I love the little finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and the assortment of teas. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed.... More

I have been to A Corner of England a few times, my last visit was with my husband on a Friday afternoon. The place was quiet and relaxing, which is what we were looking for. I always enjoy the Holiday Tea and we both ordered High Tea. When the food came out, he didn't think it was going to be... More

Some friends and family of mine had decided to try the tea room out. The service was excellent, the food was fresh, delicious, and well portioned. The atmosphere was beautiful. We got to play dress-up..it was so fun. I will definitely be going back and so will my the ppl with me!!!

My daughter and I truly enjoy going together for afternoon tea. Instead of being rushed through our meal and tea, the waitress and owner actually give you time to sit and enjoy yourself. They don't hover or contrantly check in and I appreciate this. Too often we rush through a meal and fail to enjoy the atmosphere and good company.... More

So very, very cool! High tea is served when you arrive. Didn't bring a hat? Not to worry, there is a variety you can choose from should you feel so inclined. Very 'home made' foods ... love those scones! Quite a variety of teas to suit your taste. Lots to look at during your short wait. Time flies in this... More

I decided to give this place a try despite the many bad reviews here and purchased a Groupon. I made the mistake of presenting it before I ordered, and they shorted me on my order because I wasn’t paying full price. Yet I guarantee if I had presented the Groupon when paying, they would have told me I had to... More

What a sad place and what a shame because we do need an English tea room around here! I took my English friend along and I was expecting to feel a bit of England but forget about it! Tea was good but everything else (atmosphere, food, service....) was rock bottom. Unwelcoming place, no British warmth and kindness whatsoever. I was... More
