I love this place. It has a great, casual atmosphere. It's not stuffy and the service is fantastic. I went there most recently on October 31. My wife had the pasta/seafood special and I had the gnocchi and both were fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great restaurant experience in downtown St. Pete. more
I had assumed this was an italian restaurant but was surprised to learn that many of the dishes were an Italian - South African fusion. Great place! I have never eaten anything there that wasn't delicious. The grilled salmon salad is a great light lunch. Their pasta dishes are delicious and they always have good lunch specials. The only downside is the high ceilings in the place make it very loud sometimes and parking is a challenge. more
I had the gnocchi... it was pretty good, but not fantastic or anything. Chill place to have dinner though. more

Primi never disappoints. The food is phenomenal and you won't find better italian in St Pete! If you are looking for a great meal with a great wine selection go to Primi. The portions are huge and you can't beat the price. Irene and Arno (owners) always welcome you as if you were at their home! more
Our first time staying in downtown St. Pete and we wanted something close by. This restaurent was recommended by a local. We walked in and we were welcomed. The food at primi is fantastic, and original. It's not like many other restaurants where all of the dishes start to taste the same. These people care about the product they are giving you, and want to ensure you are satisfied. They pride themselves on quality and customer service. This is what dining is all about!! Well worth the trip to the downtown area. A party of 10 adults were at a band competition at the Tropicana Field and were looking for something close by.
