Delicious Food, Interesting Menu, Good Service..Mmmmmm

Sunday brunch is the time to go to Red Mesa, our favorite place in St. Pete. We were seated after only a short wait, too. My daughter, visiting from Boston, ordered the strawberry sangria and was thrilled to find fresh strawberries floating in and flavoring it. You could suck those things down all day! I ordered Huarache de Huevos Mexicana--just... More

There was a queue to be seated so sat outside with a few beers but encouraged by diners leaving who said it was worth the wait for the best Mexican food they had ever had. Certainly it was very good and the selection and service also v. good. Perhaps not totally authentic Mexican menu but everything we had was superb... More

Overall, the food very good, service adequate and somewhere I would both recommend and go to again. Note: This is Southwest fare--not strictly Mexican and not Tex-Mex. That is an important distinction as Southwestern "Mexican" has smoky flavors and a touch of heat in every dish. This is not the place to get a giant burrito as that isn't the... More

Every meal here is delicious, but their brunch is fantastic and only offered on Sunday mornings. The shrimp chilaquiles are my absolute favorite. The sangria is also great.

After reading some of the reviews here I went in for dinner and ordered the seafood stuffed pepper... It was delicious but sadly I found shrimp or crab shells throughout the stuffing.

We arrived close to 1pm and the parking lot was packed. We decided that was a good sign and we sat at the bar and watched the chefs at work. What a sumptuous aroma! You will see how fresh everything is! We started with guacamole & salsa with chips. I had the Ginger Salmon with fresh veggies, perfection (not too... More

Try their chili rellenos - best I have ever had. Listen to the waiter's list of dinner specials - go for one that sounds good to you - you will not be disappointed.

Love this place. Every meal is delicious. If I had to pick the worse thing about the place, it would be their salsa, and chips. While not bad, it is not extraordinary. But the dinners are!

Nice atmosphere and the place was hopping at lunch. Parking lot is small, many cars parked on residential side streets (which I'm sure the homeowners 'love'). I've been to the Cantina on 3rd and not been overly impressed with their typical mexican offerings (enchiladas, tacos, burritos, etc.) so tried something more entree oriented - the Shrimp Al Mojo De Ajo...
