I've been patronizing Red Mesa since it opened and have always loved it. The salsa and sangria are the best in the Tampa Bay area and always consistent. Since I've become a vegan the past four years it's been a struggle because they don't offer much for me, but if you are a meat eater you will not be disappointed.

We visited the area and heard about this place. It was relatively close to our hotel, so we gave it a try and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, this is not a cheap eats place, the food is more upscale but still quite reasonably priced. The atmosphere and service was also good for us. As a tip: go... More

Salsa great, dinner C . shredded chicken in enchilada had no taste what so ever, beans bland. No lettuce, tomato or any greens served with meals. Churro for dessert, old hard and unhealthy fried dough stick, no chocolate served with it. Will I be back? No way.

Unfortunately a poor server can ruin even a great food experience. The food was good, but not great. Not worth the hype. Yes, the appetizer of chips that you pay $3.00 for was nothing spectacular. Our waitress was not only unfriendly, but when we asked her to bring us something, she never even did. Also we finished our drinks and... More

Good food, but the chips that you PAY $3.00 for weren't hot, even after I sent them back the first time. The entrees were good though. Disappointing not to get a tequila margarita, although the agave wine margarita was okay.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. The food was very fresh and was uniquely flavorful as opposed to a chain restaurant. Also loved the outdoor, courtyard seating.

My friends enjoy this place often and it was my first time here. The food was good but not excellent compared to some better Mexican restaurants I have dined at. We all liked our food: Ginger crusted salmon salad, black bean soup, stuffed chicken, chicken enchiladas and chips w/ salsa. The Sangria is very yummy. Server was excellent. No complaints... More

This place was bustling when we arrived for diner but we were seated quickly (there were 6 of us). Our server was great and was attentive but not intrusive and allowed us to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious and all of the ingredients tasted fresh and none of the food had the prepared-earlier-and-just-warmed-up taste. Parking is complimentary valet... More

I have never had a bad meal in this establishment. The Puntas De Filet is to die for as well as any of the shrimp dishes. You cannot order a bad meal here. The homemade salsa is the best I'ver ever had.
