Arrive early for dinner and you will be shocked with zero wait! We showed up just before 6 on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. The restaurant filled up fast behind us and when we left, there were at least 30 people waiting. They do not take reservations unless you have a large party and will not seat the... More

Living in St Petersburg I have been to this restaurant many times and never had a bad meal. The food always tastes fresh and delicious, the service is wonderful and prices are fair. So many mexican restaurants have food that all tastes the same and just becomes one big mush. Not here,, the entrees are inventive and have distinct tastes.... More

How have I not reviewed this place yet?! I have been throughly enjoying Red Mesa for years, and years, and years. It is one of the go-to restaurants in St. Petersburg, especially for people who are visiting and only have a limited time to see what St. Petersburg has to offer. I don't need to say much because this place... More

We went on First Friday in August and the entire city was packed. At 10:00 PM there was a wait. However we took first available and ended up inside - which was fine with us. The place was very loud, very crowded but the service was excellent considering the chaos. The drinks were generous pours and the food was some... More

My family and I just had lunch today at Red Mesa---Excellent across the board. I'm more familiar with Mexican dishes since I hail from Texas and grew up on Tex-Mex. This place serves what I consider closest to true Mexican from the Yucatan area. The service was prompt even though they were very busy. It not a place to go... More

Your first impression walking into this restaurant is that it is an upscale cantina. Ambiance and decor suggest that. After having been ignored for 10+ minutes before being approached by a server is The first red flag. We ordered a sampler of 4 different ceviches. Only problem that although supposedly 4 totally items they all looked the same and tasted... More

Love hanging out here with friends. The outdoor area is really cool. I've not been disappointed yet. The brunch on Sunday is a must.

We love fresh ceviche and Red Mesa did not disappoint. We got the sampler with 4 different. I was expecting just a small tasting of each. My wife and I could not eat it all ( comes with good nachos). My favorite was the octopus and kalameti olives. My wife and I also split a pork taco that was delicious.... More

Place is a little small and gets crowded very easily when full but food is worth it.Try the stuffed shrimp with cilantro rice or very nice fillet mignon with house mole. I have reviewed what others contributors posted here and it is funny that some people complain about the prices. Place is definitely not high priced and the quality to... More

This restaurant never fails to deliver the perfect flavors of the Southwest. It is as close to Bobby Flay's food as you will find in Florida. The service is always wonderful. Chef Chris has been there for ever and to me ranks right up there with Flay. I have tried almost every dish and have never been disappointed in the... More
