In the mood..

Another awesome meal at Queenshead. We are never disappointed when we choose this quaint restaurant for dinner. We sat at the bar where service was prompt. Started the evening with two of their daily specials : black bean Cilantro hummus and cream of mushroom soup. Both we outstanding!! Full of... read more

Went with friends for dinner. I had the cauliflower croquettes which were very good but the fried chick peas had almost no flavor and didn't even come with a sauce. One friend had the fish and chips which we've enjoyed before, but both were overcooked and it seemed like the oil may have been old. The Sticky Toffee Pudding, which... More

Decor is to die for. Gorgeous outside patio, or funky and very cool inside. Terrific small wine list. Small menu, which doesn't bother me. Service was wonderful, attentive, conversational, friendly and totally genuine. While the setting and service were lovely, the star of the show was the fish and chips. It was the biggest honkin hunk of fish I have... More

My husband & I have driven past the Queens Head several times on our way into downtown and decided to stop for dinner....and so glad we did! First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a wonderful atmosphere for a romantic/intimate dinner, or you can sit outside for a more casual feel. The Crispy Cauliflower Cheddar Croquettes is a wonderful... More

..a big fan of fish, not a fan at all of fish cooked anything less than perfect. Queenshead has it down PERFECTO. Also had the mozzarella with tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.. delicious! Although the tabloids on the walls in the bathroom are really cool, what I liked most about it was that it was spotless.. clean.. gleaming! Excellent food and... More

Terrific fish and chips. The chips could use a little more seasoning but, after a couple of glasses of their exceptional sangria and a thorough dousing with vinegar (that would be on the chips, not us!) they were fine. The specials are inventive and almost always hit the right notes. On past visits, the service has been questionable, even when... More

Excellent fried cauliflower appetizer, crispy on the outside soft and flavorful on the inside. The escargot is served in a small skillet with lots of melted garlic butter; they are very small in size which may help to account for their incredible tenderness...really excellent. Their bouillabaisse was unusual and "to die for" as the saying goes served in a white... More
