This tiny, unpretentious eatery on Beach Drive has delicious gumbo and other louisiana fare, and is a good place for a quick lunch, after visiting the art museum or the chihuly museum in st. petersburg.

I really liked AnnaStella Cajun Bistro, but unfortunately it closed at the end of 2013/beginning of 2014.

It took a bit too long to get our food. I got the seafood gumbo and hubby got red beans and rice with andouille sausage. Both dishes were very very bland. We also ordered the beignets which were ok, nice and hot but needed more powdered sugar. No refills on soda.

One of the epicurean delights that I miss most in New Orleans are the Beignets found at Cafe Du Monde. Well, one day I was walking on Beach Drive in St. Petersburg Florida and I stumbled upon a sandwich sign in front of AnnaStella Cajun Bistro. My heart swooned because I immediately remembered the wonderful taste at Cafe Du Monde.... More

After ordering the server announced that all she wanted to do was leave. This wasn't very reassuring. I ordered the red beans and rice. It was very bland, and I don't believe that including slices of hot dogs counts as having sausage. (Think Chef Boyardee version of Cajun). My wife ordered a Greek salad, (not really Cajun), it was just... More

Red Beans & Rice MELTED in my mouth. The shrimp and fish bites were amazing also, well seasoned yet lightly battered. A must try on your visit!!!

We used to visit all the time.... Last year when we went.... It was not as good. We figured we'd give it one more time. We will not be back. Service was great... Water kept full, kept us updated on food arrival. Salad: croutons were soggy... Meal: all fried food tasted the same. French fries... Calamari ... Shrimp... All tasted... More

We were a bit hesitant as both of the places on either side were much busier. However I am very glad we decided to try this place. First, whatever they do to their shrimp... umm, umm good. The batter is very light and tasty. The best fried shrimp I have ever eaten. The portions were enormous so we could have... More

Stopped in here for lunch and was immediately greeted with the aroma of grease! It was too hot to eat outside so we stayed inside. My husband had the jambalaya that was soupy and lacked flavor. I had the "Greek salad" that was basically a regular salad with feta cheese. On a good note the lettuce was very fresh and... More

We hear that coffee and beignets in the morning (a la the French Quarter in New Orleans) is what keeps this place going. We haven't tried that. But we did try dinner, ordering appetizers, salads, and main courses. My wife and I shared tastes. There was nothing good about any of it. Their menu is far too extensive for such... More
