Ranked #372 of 725 Restaurants in St. Petersburg
Cuisines: Thai
Description: This is a fairly popular 'well kept secret" with very good food and reasonably good service, nicely priced. Favorite for office lunches in the area. I have been eating there for quite a while but always have to ask them to turn down the loud ghetto blaster on the counter putting out high-pitched Thai music that interferes with conversation. Today they said they "can't turn it down because we have to play it for the customers," raising the question as to just what I and my companion were.... We paid our bill but will not return and we want others to know how foolish these people are, willing to sacrifice business for the sake of music that no one was interested in.

We were looking up asian restaurants that had gluten free offerings or menu around St Pete. Chiangmai's online menu denotes gluten free items with an asterisk. We decided to drive there, 20 minutes or so at night. The menu didn't resemble the online menu much, and when we asked, the server said nothing there is GF. They use soy sauce... More

Chaing Mai is in northern Thailand. The old city features Buddha temples around almost every corner.I visited around 50 of them while I was there. Some of the old fortress walls are still there from when it was used to keep marauding armies out.. The city was founded sometime before the 1300's There are walking streets where markets markets are... More

I meet several friends here once a week for lunch. The lunch specials include soup and an egg roll. There are about 20 specials which means everyone can find something they will like. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Definately would recommend it.

I had a party of 4. Each had a different meals. The noodle soup was huge with plenty of noodles. Flavor was very good. The Yum duck was a little dry. Could have had more sauce. The a vocono chicken was delious. The room was clean service average. No interaction with the waitress. Prices reflected of downtown

I hate to do this but.....we had 4 different dishes and not one of them were good. We were never visited after our food was put down and it was not busy (Our favorite Thai place was closed) when we let them know we were not pleased the staff was going to argue. Not worth raising my blood pressure, just... More

I've eaten at Chaing Mai for years and it is, in my opinion, the best Thai in the area. I don't get there often but always enjoy my meal when I do.

Let's face it, there are lots of Thai places around! We have tried A LOT of them. I would say this one of the best. The food is GREAT, the lunch menu is extremely affordable, the staff is very nice, service if fast, the space is small and cute with touches of Thai culture throughout. I think the Pad Thai... More

Greta little resturant with a very friendly service and great tasting Thai food. Reasonable priced for the area and ample parking near the resturant. the portions are large but a great variety for all tastes and authentic home made.
