The menu is complete from sandwiches to full dinners and the food is consistently good. The scallops are my favorite. They bake their own bread fresh each day and the soups are very good. If you want the real feeling of being in Cassis, France, you have to have the Cassis sorbet at the end of your meal

1. Was visiting St Pete's for the 2nd time around 2. Walked in for lunch after touring the Modern Museum on a Sunday morning. 3. ordered their dark beer (Franziskaner) which was good and refreshing. 4. Ordered their grilled chicken sandwich, which I think was good and tats except the bread was burnt. 5. Came back on a Sunday as... More

A friend was visiting and I wanted to show off my St. Petersburg. So I took her downtown for the Art walk. After viewing a couple of art shops, we took the shuttle downtown to get a quick bite to eat. I suggested Cassis for its' location and outside dining. We arrived a little after 7pm on Sept. 13th. We... More

Wanted a salad, but didn't want spinach. Sorry, can't do it. Sandwiches come with fries. Wanted slaw instead of fries. Side of fries is $5.50. Side of slaw $6.00. But, substitution of slaw for fries is an additional $2.00. Was told sandwich could come with gluten free bread on request. Asked for Ruben with gluten free bread. Can't do it.... More

Very little food for the price. I did enjoy the fact that they are dog friendly in their outdoor dining.

Service is unreliable. Menu is in need of a makeover. Was served spoiled fish last visit and the staff handled it terribly. Waited 15 minutes for them to decide it was bad the. Took another 40 for them to bring another entree.

After a pleasant drink at the bar, we decided to have some food at the restaurant. After closing our tab at the bar (why can't they transfer the bill to the table?), we were sat in the restaurant and immediately became invisible to the serving staff. Both the bar and restaurant had become quieter after the early evening drinks rush... More

Cassis is a bit of a surprise in downtown Sarasota with a inviting room and a varied menu that offers some appealing selections. A great place for lunch.

Lets cut to the chase: This bakery is amazing. Okay, now a little more explanation. Cassis Bakery is next door to Cassis Brasserie. If the Brasserie is the big brother, the bakery is the little bakery who totally shows up the big brother. I'm not the biggest fan of the brasserie. I think its food is boring, under seasoned and...
