I'm not a fan of Red Mesa but the Mercado is a home run. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in St Pete this is one of just two places you can find something close to it. It's still a bit trendy. It's not my hometown's taqueria but it's pretty good. I'd go back for sure.

We sat outside in the courtyard. The weather was cool but the atmosphere and sun made it a perfect setting with the waterfall and fountains amidst the greenery. We had Cadillac margaritas made with fresh lime juice and agave that were great. For lunch we shared the mofongo and habanero snapper ceviche. It was the perfect amount to share for... More

Great food, friendly and attentive service, beautiful outside garden and nice looking rooms (I took a peek). One of the best Sangrias! They the best! They don't even need my review, impossible to get in on the weekend. They take reservations during the week though. I heard that Red Mesa is even better but I don't know how they can... More

There's nothing common about this restaurant. The décor is funky, the service is very good, and the menu is unusual but it's possible to order very healthy food here. I have had the tacos and they are all superb (pulled pork with guacamole, aha tuna, fish, etc.) There is also an aha tuna salad which is to die for -... More

We popped in for a brief afternoon bite. The staff was amazing polite and accommodating. I ordered a nacho salad, it was huge. The patio became very windy which made for a difficult dining experience. My word to management, check the wind flows and place a few more barrier walls. Overall, great food but keeping it on the table was... More

Great margaritas , queso and chips. Steak salad was excellent Fun little joint , perfect for quick business meeting. Sure the local pack this place for happy hour etc. Will go back when it warms up a little to sit in the breezeway. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area.

I absolutely love Red Mesa. I would recommend the duck tacos or the El Gordo burrito. Bring your appetite for the El Gordo, I ended up taking half of mine home. Both the pork and the steak burritos were out of this world.

We came here after a theater outing. The restaurant is well laid out. An open air , casual bar and snack area, and an easy going dining room. All the food is freshly prepared. The staff is helpful and plentyfull. We truly enjoyed the experience and the food.

We met friends for diner at the downtown location. We had not been there before and were surprised at the very large restaurant with seating both inside and out. I ordered fish tacos and vegetables. I had become a fan of fish tacos in other places. However I would never do that again here. The two tacos came with tiny... More

Indoor and outdoor dining with waterfalls and foliage decor. A huge menu selection with fresh seafood and traditional mexican dishes. I don't remember the name of my dish, but it was a seafood combo and was delicious. Fresh chips and salsa always a plus. Upbeat servers. I would definitely go back.
