Mexican is a safe choice, but Red Mesa is an excellent choice.

This is a nice looking place from the outside and very much the same once you get inside. They offer indoor and outdoor seating in a well decorated courtyard. The food was extremely reasonable and was very tasty. I loved it. Mexican is a safe choice, but Red Mesa is an excellent choice.

Red Mesa Cantina has a beautiful ambience with a really amazing outdoor patio. It's a little sanctuary in the city. The food was very good. I had the duck, tofu, pork and fish tacos. The sangria was excellent! The service was very friendly and attentive.

The menu at Red Mesa is very diverse and different from the usual Mexican faire..plus it was delicious! We shared an Empanada for starters with our Hornitos margaritas, then had shrimp taco, El Gordo burrito, and one of the specials which was a tostado with mango and sea food. Ummm.

I really liked this place, the ambiance is cool, the service was fast and Catherine was super nice! The food was great and different, prices were reasonable. I shared with my husband a shrimp and crab quesadilla (which it was more like a personal pizza on a flour tortilla, weird but really good) and a shrimp ceviche, it was good... More

Ate here 3 years ago while on a business trip, so when in town this week with my wife, I wanted to take her here. Great atmosphere with multiple options to dine inside or out. Great decor and ambience and a decent menu selection. The tacos are great and even though they are small, they are very rich and filling.... More

the place is decorated very nice inside and outside. We ate inside as it was cooler than outside but extremely noisy! Food was different that other places so do not expect an ordinary Mexican menu. Drinks aplenty and excellent service for sure.

This restaurant is located in Downtown St. Petersburg below Club Push. The restaurant serves Mexican food that is very tasty. The service is consistently fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. It is in walking distance to lots of downtown night life. Parking is available on the street or across the street in the Suntrust Bank parking garage.

The best way to describe my experience at Red Mesa Cantina is this: Spanish inspired Chili's. The outdoor seating seemed great however my husband and I sat inside. It was so noisy and obviously more of a place to get drinks with friends than to sit down and enjoy a meal (which is fine, of course, and not why I... More

We had a family lunch with two grandchildren (4 & 1 year old). The waitress and service were superior. My husband and I found the drinks and food to be good, but nothing spectacular. My son-in-law loves spicy food and he loved his lunch. We thought it was good, but not sure we would make the trip from north Tampa... More
