We had a bad experience here with rude staff. This was several years ago. A letter to the owners produced no response. We stopped patronizing this restaurant after that. Lots of other fine downtown St. Pete restaurants to spend our money in.

this was intimate yet comfortable and spacious...The water fountain, the nice patio, the friendly staff, the nightly musicians, and the delicious food...Reasonably priced and when you go, try the Cadillac Margarita....

We visit St Pete a couple of times a year and one year ago we found the wonderful Red Mesa on fourth street. Thought we would try it again on our last trip so we typed it into the iPhone and were led downtown to third street. Um - something is going on here. The sign out front said Red... More

This has truly been a favorite restaurant of mine for a few years now. When I lived in downtown St Pete area, I went here all the time. I once actually went here both Saturday AND Sunday for brunch in the same weekend. (sweet potato pancakes are soo good) Any time I had friends/family in town, this is where I... More

This place is great! The food is excellent and the service was very good. We have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants because it is one of our favorite types of food. We were well pleased with Red Mesa and if we get back to St. Pete, we will definitely return.

I live a couple blocks away from cantina, so perhaps am biased. However, I love this place and my fav menu items! I sat in the courtyard today thinking it should be a travel mag highlight!! The motulenos is to die for, as are the $4 mimosas!! Delicious for brunch or whatever time of day it is

We stopped at Red Mesa in St. Pete when on our way to the Tampa Bay Rays game and we were not disappointed, in fact, I would've almost rather stayed and had a few more rounds of drinks! The atmosphere is fantastic for a grown-ups night out and the food is to die for - gourmet tapas like the ahi... More

Man, after hearing so many great things for so long about this place, I was sure we couldn't go wrong. I was so, so disappointed. SERVICE: Arrived for a weekday lunch just before noon, and it was already filling up. Seating was quick, but our waiter already seemed stressed and overwhelmed. He was visibly sweating and breathing heavily. It took... More

Visiting the area and was referred to this place. Fantastic open brick building and open patio with fountain. Great outdoor bar area. Places was packed with a long wait, but good opportunity to have a few cocktails outside. Not an overly complex upscale Mexican menu, but they do it right. Great food!

Early lunch on a rainy day..very pleasant server recommended the Friday special, arroz con pollo. We sat outside. Overall, a nice experience. I think this is more of a night spot. The food was good. Great outdoor seating during cooler weather.
