Best Cajun Food East of Mississipi

Atmosphere is relaxing but classy. Definitely the best cajun food I've found in this area. Growing up in the South definitely makes one picky when it comes to Etouffee and PoBoys. Even the Gumbo here is pretty good. Crawfish are pricey and not very big. But that's good reason to visit home... read more

Stumbled on this restaurant after we tried a near-by place that did not have any indoor seating. Lunch was a delight. Red beans and rice with andouille sausage was tasty and very satisfying. Went back for dinner, the same night, and were a little disappointed. Had chocolate pecan pie and it tasted like it had been nuked, not warmed in... More

Native Louisianian Ricky does an excellent job in the kitchen --- a labor of love for him. I was part of a group of 25 who visited for lunch on a weekday. I had a real po' boy for the first time, served with a side of red beans and rice. Had a small bowl of jambalaya first and some... More

The food is great & the prices are really inexpensive considering the generous portions. I've visited numerous times over the years and never had a bad meal

This is a good local restaurant located in downtown St. Petersburg, FL's art district. The waiter/waitresses are very attentive and will allow you to sample something before ordering. The food is very authentic Cajun, southern style with heaping portions. Most dishes are under $11. Also great location to walk around after lunch or dinner.

It is tough to write about the food since I am not a fan of hot and spicy cajun food but I was with a friend that is and he said it was great. I liked the restaurant. The decor was nice and the laid back attitude of the server was almost like being at home. Enjoy

My wife is a cajun chef so is pretty picky on this type food. Everything was a solid B but portions not too big. Apps were especially light for the price. Drinks were not a great bargain, atmosphere was ok.

My wife and I have been several times for brunch and dinner, we both loved the appetizers and the main courses. The Jambalaya; Gumbo; Red Beans and Rice it was all very good, and it is so much to that Dessert is a take home item

On a rare Sunday off for brunch, we stopped at this Cajun style restaurant on Central in St. Petersburg. Since my wife was born in New Orleans, we often sample regional attempts at 'Cajun' The beers were reasonable, the shrimp and grits passed my wife's palate test, and the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was just spicy enough to make it...
