With a saxophone player and an atmosphere of quasi New Orleans, Ricky Ap's was fun. Cajun type menu, the food us pretty good though the service was very slow. The manager thank us for coming which I thought was a nice touch. I would try it again, hopefully next time get better service.

I went to both locations last year when I was in Bradenton. I went with a friend who had moved to St. Pete years ago and he knew the "home places'. I really enjoyed the two places. The one near the downtown was a little fancier but food was the same. Give me the original store for a fun place... More

This would be a top restaurant in New Orleans or Lafayette. The oyster po' boys are great. The gumbo is great. Whatever else they make, I am sure it is great. The flavor is truly authentic. This place is better than the majority of restaurants that serve Louisiana cooking in New Orleans. The decor is very attractive, and service is... More

This place was absolutely full at Brunch time. I went for lunch and the food was okay. It closes down pretty early too so I would only go again for a brunch.

Just returned from New Orleans and still had a desire for the new Orleans foods so stopped for dinner at Ricky P's had the bone in pork chop with an andouille cream sauce boy oh boy I was amazed with the flavor and how very tender the meat was I will never forget that chop, it blew me away. I'm originally from Mobile, AL and grew up on the same dishes everyone relates to New Orleans. Since today was Mardis Gras day we ordered a ton of stuff to pig out since we aren't back home to celebrate carnival. This place is spot on. The ingredients, selection and food quality were just like home. I would say some stuff... More

We will not be back for this mediocre food. The gumbo was pleasantly good, (not as good as the Front Porch grill over in Tampa) with nice fresh bread. Service was professional yet friendly. Then entrees came and neither of us took more than 1 bite of each item on the combos we ordered. So salty, dry rice, canned tasting... More

Four of us are in Treasure Island for a few days of r&r. Last night we went to Ricky P's on 4th Street for dinner. My wife and I are from Louisiana, so we know authentic cajun food when we see it. Ricky P's is definitely the real deal. The food was off-the-chain (outstanding for those who do not know... More
