TP is always consistent, always good. Wonderful German potato salad, smoked fish and cheeseburgers! Been enjoying their food for many years.

Ted Peter's should be on some sort of historic register. A landmark that's been around for over 60 years, it is, in a word, perfect. Mullet and mackerel have more Omega 3s than salmon, and at Ted Peter's they are fresh, never farm-raised. The potato salad is great, but contains bacon. The smoked fish spread is the best I've ever... More

I have been eating here for over 50 years and the food never changes. Always very good. But better than the smoked fish is their cheeseburgers. I don't know that I have had a better one anywhere. Not a fancy place…casual, clean and rustic.

I often go there for lunch and eat their Smoked Fish salad sandwich which is wonderful. The service is good and if the day is cold (in Florida?) they have a cozy fireplace in the indoor room. I have taken a whole smoked filet of Salmon home, for a dinner with my family, which was moist and flavorful. I also... More

This family operation has been at the same location for well over 50 years. It just gets better. Come for the salmon, mackerel, mahi mahi and mullet smoked on premises over red oak. The mullet dinner, and my dinner of choice, is the least expensive at $13.99 and comes with German style potato salad, coleslaw, pickle, tomato slice, onion and... More

Don't visit St Petersburg without stopping in at Ted Peters. Casual outdoor eating (with fans for the summer), great eating. If you don't care for smoked fish, which is good, they have the BEST cheeseburgers - who would have thought!!?---- AND their german potato salad is delicious. So is their fish spread on crackers. It is available in larger quantities... More

Old Florida road house that suburbs usurped a couple generations ago! Three types of smoked fish: Salmon (best, in my opinion); mullet (kind of fishy, but a local favorite - doesn't hurt that it's the least expensive); and Mahi. Housemade smoked fish spread is the best in the area (about $9/lb - served with saltines). Fish platters are a decent... More

Casual dining, great food -- the smoked salmon is the best I have ever eaten and the hamburgers are probably the best in St. Petersburg, but be prepared. They do not accept credit cards. Bring cash.

I have been eating here since it was built around 1950. The burgers, smoked fish, smoked fish spread (awesome!), and German potato salad (also awesome!) and Manhattan (the best variety IMHO) clam chowder still call me back at least monthly. Sadly, I miss Ted's mom's pies and cookies, which have been gone for probably 40 years as they were absolutely... More

There used to be lots of places to buy smoked fish, but they have come and gone. This one has always been consistent with a variety of smoked fish, smoked right on the premises and when the smoker is going the smell is heavenly. Our favorite is the smoked mullet. They also have mackerel and other varieties as well. As... More
