Ted Peter's is a Fl. Landmark and offers up delicious selections of fresh fish smoked. A nice selection of Mackerel, Mullet, Mahi-Mahi and salmon smoked right on the premises! Sides include German potato salad, cole slaw and Manhattan clam chowder . Try the mouth watering cheeseburgers and home made fish spread ! You can grab a beer or my favorite... More

Lydia asked if we had ever been to Ted Peter's Famous Smoked Fish on Pasadena Avenue in St. Petersburg before. My bride, the Belle of Ballast Point, said no, but I responded that I had been to Ted's some forty years ago. Lydia admonished me with, "I bet you're kicking yourself for waiting so long to come back." Unfortunately, I... More

It has being over a year and I cant forget this place. Never had Mullet before and this one was great. So was cole slaw, potato salad and everything else. I like my fish "fishy" and this place delivered. It is out of my way of travels but will have to make a detour sometime soon.

Ted Peters has the best smoked fish around. They have 3 or 4 types usually. We have had all of them. We like the smoked salmon the best. The seafood spread is amazing. The service is very good. You can sit inside in the air conditioning or outside on the patio. THEY ONLY TAKE CASH...NO CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS. They... More

We've tried this "joint" twice. We didn't understand why it was "famous" the first time we were there. The atmosphere is fun -- very "rough" -- which adds to the experience of course, but we honestly don't understand the hype about their smoked fish. Famous? Maybe it's because the place has survived for five decades, so something must have gone... More

We finally found this place. The mullet was great. Large portions. Also they have Manhattan clam chowder which was also great. Bought some to go. Sides were good too. She gave us a sample of the fish dip which was also very tasty. Price is reasonable and staff was so friendly. Missed her name but the waitress actually suggested how... More

Great smoked mahi, but it's not something we could eat everyday. Great taste. Staff was very friendly and attentive. She asked us if it was our first time, and it was our first time. She brought us out samples of their potato salad, fish spread, and root beer in frozen mug. Very hospitable staff! We aren't huge fans of the... More

We've been customers since 1959 . . . it's the best root beer, especially after you've been on the beach for several hours. It's the best smoked fish IF you like smoked fish (and I don't). It's the best hamburger for sure! Sit outside and enjoy your food and the smokehouse aroma, too. This is a place to visit at... More

Fish spread was way too sweet, and not really any smoke what so ever, not sure what happened here but not too impressed. Waitress really wasn't very helpful either, kind of , well we don't have this and we don't have that, all I asked for was some fresh jalapenos to put on the spread/crackers. Have had much better fish... More

I keep finding myself coming back to Ted Peters more and more. Since I live in Sarasota it isn't that far once I cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I used to get the mullet but now I'm hooked on the salmon. I always get a great piece of fish here. Smoked to perfection. Amazing taste. Just love it. The German... More
