We finally found this place. The mullet was great. Large portions. Also they have Manhattan clam chowder which was also great. Bought some to go. Sides were good too. She gave us a sample of the fish dip which was also very tasty. Price is reasonable and staff was so friendly. Missed her name but the waitress actually suggested how... More

Great smoked mahi, but it's not something we could eat everyday. Great taste. Staff was very friendly and attentive. She asked us if it was our first time, and it was our first time. She brought us out samples of their potato salad, fish spread, and root beer in frozen mug. Very hospitable staff! We aren't huge fans of the... More

We've been customers since 1959 . . . it's the best root beer, especially after you've been on the beach for several hours. It's the best smoked fish IF you like smoked fish (and I don't). It's the best hamburger for sure! Sit outside and enjoy your food and the smokehouse aroma, too. This is a place to visit at... More

Fish spread was way too sweet, and not really any smoke what so ever, not sure what happened here but not too impressed. Waitress really wasn't very helpful either, kind of , well we don't have this and we don't have that, all I asked for was some fresh jalapenos to put on the spread/crackers. Have had much better fish... More

I keep finding myself coming back to Ted Peters more and more. Since I live in Sarasota it isn't that far once I cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I used to get the mullet but now I'm hooked on the salmon. I always get a great piece of fish here. Smoked to perfection. Amazing taste. Just love it. The German... More

After the beach, Ted Peters is a locals favorite to have a nosh and relax before heading back to tell big city. We always get their fish spread for an appetizer. But the hidden secret is their cheeseburgers. They are cooked fresh and the buns are to die for. Don't forget, it is CASH ONLY. But it is worth every... More

Have heard stories for years singing the praises of this place, and finally had a chance to check it out myself. Well, they weren't lying! At least not based on the smoked fish spread. It was delicious! A big helping on wheat bread, with a pickle spear. It was smokey, with a light taste of mayo and relish, but not... More

Four of us were craving good ol' Florida style seafood, so we decided to visit a Pinellas County landmark, Ted Peters - always famous for superb smoked mullet. As a "born and raised" in St. Petersburg "kid", I remembered when you couldn't get near Peters' wonderful indoor/outdoor restaurant on Sunday afternoons at the beach, for the crowds it drew... casual,... We ordered the smoked mackerel because that was their original. The fish was big enough for two and we were glad we split an order. Downside? They charge like $7 or something to split it. That means bring you an extra plate. Why not portion them smaller and charge less? Anyhow, it was tasty. Not too smoky. The German potato... More

Ted Peter's place was just a family happenstance stop but I am so glad we did. Our waitress from New York served up southern hospitality like you hear about. I can tell you everything cook was fresh and has a different taste. My Dad had the smoke mullet diner and enjoyed it. I decide to have a fish spread sandwich.... More
