I wonder if Tampa Bay is second only to Northern New England for bad Italian food. This is why it is refreshing to find places like La Casa del Pane. I put them at the same level as Mario's in Madeira Beach and the famous Mazzaro's. One little known secret is that the owners are from Altamura in Apulia. The... More

My wife, son and I recently visited St. Pete and had the buona fortuna of discovering this little gem. If you are seeking an authentic Italian cafe and pasticceria, complete with first-generation Italian immigrants, this is the place for you. Excellent espresso, cappuccino, caffe Americano, spectacular hand-made pastries and breads, delicious sandwiches, and a smaller collection of Italian specialty products... More

If you are on St. Petersburg Beach, you MUST stop in to La casa Del Pane. The delicous, homemade food is made hourly. Everything they make is amazing from the bread to the sandwiches. Take a seat at the coffee bar to eat your sandwhich, and don't forget to get an espresso or cappachino made by Ana or Madelina! All... More

Authentic! Right like being in Italy everything is homemade. Ask the owners to make you something special!

Stopped here on the way out of town for lunch after 3 days in St. Pete. Best meal we had in St Pete!! This is a bakery/Italian food shop so don't expect a full restaurant. Seating is limited to the counter and one small table, but well worth any wait - or just do take out. Amazing sandwiches and great,... More

New Yorkers.... look no further. This is a taste of home. Fantastic bread. I tried it once and they had me hooked. You can't go back to supermarket bakery breads after this. The pizzas, sandwiches and muffins are great too. It's always a treat to stop in. A real neighborhood feel. Glad to have these guys nearby!

If you are looking for a great bakery for bread, look no further - it's here. The breads, especially the focaccia, rival some of best baked breads in NYC or Philadelphia's little Italy. This is a small deli/bakery type of place and the service may be a little slow, but worth it.

We drive an hour at least once a month to get our fresh bread from here. Everything is fresh and delicious! pastries are great. Get the pizza breads (love the tomato one) and warm them up in your oven. Absolutely amazing! Love this place!

Great pastry, great bread, but the young girl behind the counter had a sour look and acted like we were bothering her.. Real attitude..makes me never want to go back.. This was our first time there!

I have searched the southeast United States for a REAL Italian market for 6 years - this is it! The wonderful food, pastries, coffee, sandwiches and sold goods are the ones I had during an extensive tour of Italy 6 years ago. Everything is amazing!!! Had a friend with me who is unfamiliar with the culture and has never been,... More
