The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.

Drinks & Beers Only

While staying at the hotel - we ordered beers, margaritas & I had a piña colada & the kids got refills on their drinks. Service was fine, fresh water & ice available whenever asked - for free!

Good for bar food. Kind of expensive. We ordered three drinks and the cheeses fries and chicken fingers. They were very greasy but what can you expect from a bar type place?

Tired and in need of refurbishment. Not close in appeal to the driftwood beach bars up and down the St Pete beach which are highly recommended.

This restaurant needs to revamp the menu, hire servers who want to be there and chefs who know how to prepare what's on the menu. Good views of pool and part of resort but nothing beyond that.

We enjoyed a lunch with friends who had just arrived to stay at the resort. It was busy and seating had to be split between a table and bar stools. The food was fine and arrived quite quickly.

Crabcakes were good. My family and I mostly had fried foods. My son had grouper for the first time-they did a good job. Its solid fare-nothing fancy or exceptional. I did try their blackened chicken, which I was impressed with since it was not greasy.

Flying Bridge is small, the atmosphere is fun, and the we found the food to be delicious. Our favorite of the Tradewinds restaurants.
