The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.

good food, convenient location

It is conveniently located right next to the pool and beach. Food was actually pretty good. The shrimp skewers and cheese burgers are yummy!

Very good wrap and gyro. Our waitress, Kelly, was very helpful and attentive. Good food, good service. Located at the Tradewinds Resort.

Our first night at the resort, we decided to have a late casual dinner with friends. We decided to go to the Flying Bridge. There were menu selections to satisfy most taste buds. Atmosphere was relaxed and casual. The cost was reasonable to say the least.

Food was varied. Sandwiches at lunch all very tasty and fairly quick service. We returned for dinner however and found things very different. They weren't able to complete our order as they had run out of things but didn't tell us until they brought the food when it was too late to re-order. Also the baked potatoes weren't fully cooked... This little cafe in the middle of a bustling resort provides excellent service, good food, and tasty cocktails. We sat at the bar, loved the fish tacos, and laughed a lot with the servers. Best location at the Tradewinds.

The Gulf view is slightly hindered by the giant slide but being poolside and on the beach having a grouper sandwich is pretty hard to beat. A good offering of food, even for the non-fish lover and very good drinks. We ate here 2-3x during our stay and didn't repeat any of the others, so it says a lot about... More

... big drinks, friendly service - a bit pricey, but great location - right on the beach ! Open-air destination with an upbeat flair.

Good casual beach and pool grille to pick up lunch and/or a drink. As in don't dress up. Service and food are fine and it's nice to have coming off the beach.

We ate here every day of our stay and sat outside. It was awesome. Food was delicious (the shrimp brochette and broiled grouper sandwich were two standout dishes). Jerica was our server twice and she was great.
