The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you.

fun for lunch

This is a fun, casual place where you can come in your bathing suit and look out at the beach while you have lunch or a snack.

Their grouper sandwich was to die for. Fresh, flaky grilled goodness. Sit along the beach with the sun on your face and a drink in your hand. Doesn't get much better than this,

Can beat the convenience and accessibility of this beachfront spot - very friendly service and killer views of the gulf. We loved Ginger, she was delightful!

We stopped in to the Flying Bridge just as they were beginning to serve dinner. The wait staff was quick and attentive. The food was good - I had the shrimp trio (30 shrimp on skewers) which was good - the shrimp were small, but you could tell they were fresh by the taste. My friend had the fish tacos... More

This is our 4th stay at the Trade Winds in as many years. The hallmark of this establishment is stellar service but that does not appear to be the case here. Three servers walked by us several times and totally ignored us. One even announced it was her break time. This bar is out of the way and needs to... More

Lori the Manager at the Flying Bridge is one of the nicest, detailed and professional people we have come across during our many trips to St Pete beach! The staff she has are lovely and helpful. The food was prepared very good, and service super. Kat was on her toes! They should try and incorporate a nice filet on the... More

Elixir is a top-notch waiter/bartender, very pleasant, knowledgeable, accommodating, prompt, professional! They serve delicious, high-quality food, especially the smothered chicken, grouper sandwich, and fish tacos! Portion sizes are very generous! And they offer lots of gluten-free options, including gluten-free bread/buns! Perfect location/view, right on the beach, perfect for a sunset meal.

We attended a conference at this hotel and had excellent service from Denise our waitress at The Flying Bridge restaurant. The food was very good but the atmosphere and wait staff were wonderful. Thank you for a great time.
