This place is basically a shack balanced on the edge of the water. Fab fresh fish and friendly service. Expect to pay $120 for sea bass for 4.

We made a detour on our way from Tampa back to Sarasota and stopped here for lunch. The grouper sandwich, blackened, was truly delicious and the peel and eats were nice and spiced like we like them. Little misting tubes attached to the outdoor fans made it more bearable in the humid, August heat. Would definitely make another trip if... More

I saw mixed reviews and our rental owner panned this place telling us straight up to avoid it, but we liked it. Our food was decent and a nice little location on the docks. We had appetizers and desert, enjoyed it totally, and we both agreed that we would go back.

Not a posh place by any means, really casual with wooden picnic benches and wipe down tablecloths, but the fish is fabulous. We were in Pass-a-Grillle for 3 nights.. The first evening we went into Sea Critters at 8.55pm not realising the restaurant closed at 9pm. They didn't turn us away and we enjoyed Sea bass and Grouper sitting out... More

Located a few blocks from the famous pink Don Cesar Hotel, this restaurant is easily found and features the hot commodity of a free parking lot. The cafe is located on and over the Intracoastal Waterway. Tables are located along the dock fingers and some have fantastic views. The shrimp, with an almond coating, was perfection! It was served with... More

Relaxed place on the water with amazing grouper sandwiches! The grouper was really fresh. I had mine blackened, and it was just the right spice. My husband had his almond-crusted and said it was delicious. We split a pitcher if sangria - which was also just right- not too sweet. Yum!

We love this place. .Since we live in Pittsburgh, eating on the waterfront and watching birds, dolphins etc doesnt happen. . We have the Seafood Boil (which isnt even on the menu . .you have to ask for it) as our anniversary treat. .its a wonderful meal and its so peaceful sitting out on their deck.

Yep. Ate here tonight. The food was OK. The service, though. Oy gevalt! Kids these days. I'd warn you against Brando^H^H^H^H^H^Hyounger servers, but that might not be nice. Maybe if I had gotten more than a diet Coke. Hmmmm

We went to Sea Critters Cafe for Mother's Day after reading about them on TA. There was a long wait, but that was to be expected since it was a holiday. We were seated "deck side", which was a nice change of pace, since we had been eating all of our meals "beachside" (not complaining...I don't come to SPB to... More

My wife and were checking hotels in the area for an anniversary weekend and went to Sea Critters on the recommendation of a hotelier. We ordered the fried seafood platter which included scallops, shrimp, battered fish, a crab cake and steak fries. The common denominator to all the food was that it tasted like it had been prepared for cooking... More
