Just returned form SPB. and visited this place 3 times loved the up stairs open bar the food was great had cuban sandwich which was great also had the bucket of chicken and a burger will definately return next year. more

I have recently moved to the area, and having tried some other restaurants on the beach(which were somewhat dissapointing) I quickly fell for the friendly and prompt service at Philthy Phil's! I was looking forward to eating here--had scouted it out earlier in the day. The open-air dining and view of the water were just what I wanted for my last meal on the trip. When we are in TI in June/July every year, I try and convince all my family to eat at Phil's as much as possible! I am hooked on the Pressed Cuban sandwich. This place used to be the hit of St Pete Beach. We live in St Pete & used to eat here all the time... then the owners sold & a new guy has taken over. NOT as good at all. We just ate there today. The famous "grouper sandwich" is about 1/2 the size it used to be. Also -... more

The food was excellent. The fried shrimp was the best I've ever eaten. They have a nice place for smokers to eat. Most restaurants in the vacinity had a few benches outsite. This place had the entire roof with a full bar and many covered tables. more
