Still a good grouper sandwich

Just not the same if you remember the old Hurricane. Grouper sandwich is still good and the 'petite' isn't! Probably plenty of sandwich for most. Maybe ask for a sample of your beer choice first if you're trying something different. Two of the 3 we tried weren't particularly good.

Stopped in and tried out the famous Grouper sandwich. Food was ok, dessert (key lime pie) was one of the best on the island, the view was spectacular on the third deck, and our server (Kim) was great. He took the time and told us stories/history of the island and was very knowledgable of the menu.

This establishment is really several: a bar, a simple, diner-like restaurant, and a bigger, fancier restaurant. We ate at the downstairs, "simple" place, the improved site of the original 70's beach restaurant. Very friendly service, the best blackened grouper sandwich on a roll that turned out to be super-fresh (I'm not a big bread fan but enjoyed it), and choice... More

I read all the reviews prior to coming and was looking for a casual fun seafood type place to celebrate my bday. These folks are waaay underprepared service was incredibly slow!! We had reservations for 2 weeks for a party of 10 - show up on time and not a table to be had. They scrambled around were disorganized -... More

We had a family event celebrating our grandmother's 100th birthday here! It was a tremendous success! They were set up and well prepared with our large party. The service, especially "Kohl" and team did a phenomenal job! The food was delicious! They were well organized. Everyone had drinks at the same time, appetizers shortly followed, then the meals were prepared... More

Just think of sitting there eating breakfast and watching the sea gulls at the beach. Great breakfast and stupendous Bloody Marys. In the vening you can have a beer on the rooftop deck and watch the sunset.

Food is way under par! Live in the area and its been years since I've been to the Hurricane and now I remember why? The food is horrible. Service was just OK. Good thing they have the sunset!!

I was last here back in 2010. I had the grouper Pass-A-Grille. The plate came out and the vegetables were cold, I sent the plate back and not sure if the veggies were just warmed up or they started over but none the less it was hot. The grouper was okay. I don't know what my friend ordered but again... More

Poor policy! We were excited about the advertised happy hour on the roof top bar with a view of the water. However, when we arrived, we were told the rooftop was closed. We had to sit outside on picnic tables at street level where happy hour specials were not honored. So, they closed the rooftop and then refused to offer... More

If you like Groper this is the right place to try this special Florida fish. The Groper Fish dinner was excellent and came with two sides. The blacken chicken with pasta was also excellent. This is a well known local restaurant with a loyal following. The atmosphere is divided between out door dinning, sports bar and cafe. We ate in... More
