For everyone who loves redemptive powers of the sea and the sensual tastes of the very freshest foods and great drinks, the cure is indeed here: St. Pete Beach’s most festive dining experience, The Salty Rim Grill. The Salty Rim is something from the imagination of an old Florida dreamer or Buffet song. the fresh food is influenced by the great tastes of the Caribbean, Florida Keys and places that rim the Gulf of Mexico. But it’s even more than that, The Salty Rim is a state of mind; the nearest faraway place that the fun loving people of Tampa Bay can escape to… and please when you enter, be sure to check your worries at the door.

Laid back dining

Nice waterfront restaurant. Good, fresh food. Friendly service. The seared sesame tuna was done to perfection. The buffalo chicken sandwich was tasty and the fries that came with it were delicious. We were too full for dessert.

The Salty Rim was the perfect ending to a great day at the beach. The sun was setting just off the intercostal and dinner was being served. Lisa, our server, was excellent. She was prompt with our drinks and our cups were never empty. She made yummy recommendations from the menu and our dinners were delish! Would definetely recommend and... More

While riding back to our resort, we were looking for a place to eat. We found a little strip mall with a few restaurant choices. We checked out this first and everyone like the atmosphere. Our server was Matt, who was very helpful, easy going (the Tennessee Trio can be like a tornado has hit! lol), made the experience memorable.... More

Reminded me of a place where the local "wharf rats" go for a tasty burger and a beer, tucked away in a corner of a little strip of businesses by the water. If you didn't know it was there, it would be easy to miss. That is probably why they offered a Groupon discount, and that is how we decided... More

A guys trip with 5 of us were looking for a place to drink and came across the Salty Rim one night. We drank at the inside bar and had a great time. The service was excellent and the beer prices were decent with the area. We stayed for a few hours had shots and beer. We left and decided... More

Cheap beer but food is disgusting. I had conch fritter and grouper bite for appetizer. Very blend with no flavor. However I enjoyed the live band and the outside deck. I used coupon from yelp and server didn't like that. I had to put out my cigarette butt on the wet table because he wouldn't bring me astray. Plus no... More

Stopped by for a late lunch, sat on the outside deck overlooking the intracoastal. I had the chicken quesadilla appetizer that was very good and the seafood margarita appetizer. That was also very good but I had asked them to turn down the heat a bit on it and it was served the same as usual. It's very tasty and... More

We enjoy not only a lovely dinner with live music, but a nice breakfast on the deck and before we left to go home, we enjoyed lunch again on the deck. All with our sweet little puppy, Abby.

My husband and I took the kids to this place. The margaritas were great and the fish was the best I ever had. I ordered crab legs, white fish, and shrimp. It was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because our conch fritters were slightly burned. The waiter was kind and took great care of... More
