Description: For everyone who loves redemptive powers of the sea and the sensual tastes of the very freshest foods and great drinks, the cure is indeed here: St. Pete Beach’s most festive dining experience, The Salty Rim Grill. The Salty Rim is something from the imagination of an old Florida dreamer or Buffet song. the fresh food is influenced by the great tastes of the Caribbean, Florida Keys and places that rim the Gulf of Mexico. But it’s even more than that, The Salty Rim is a state of mind; the nearest faraway place that the fun loving people of Tampa Bay can escape to… and please when you enter, be sure to check your worries at the door.

We happened to stumble upon this place. The food was delicious. The Crab Cakes were the best I've ever eaten. The service was good. I would eat here again.

On the water near a bridge and marina. Sat out on the patio. Live band. We bought vouchers online through a local alternative newspaper. We got $25 in voucher for $12.50. We had not been here since ownership changed a couple of years ago. Didn't know what to expect. I ordered the roasted pork de abuela (grandma) with a side... More

The Salty Rim offers a great opportunity to sit by the water and watch the world go by, while enjoying a great selection of food and cocktails to whet any appetite. Today we enjoyed the mussels and jerk seasoned chicken wings - absolutely delicious. Worth a trip too whether you are a local or on vacation.... enjoy :-)

Cool, Keys-inspired atmosphere with a decent (albeit predictable) selection of pub fare... What makes this stop worthwhile is a fresh faced bartender named Emily who's as quick with her smile as she is with helpful menu suggestions and an artful ability to mix the best drinks on the beach!

We came over from Apollo beach for the day. Enjoyed the bar with Emily serving! Also the ropa vieja braised brisket was great! Thanks for a fun Sunday afternoon!

We sat on the outside deck and enjoyed an amazing sunset while we ate. I had a pineapple mojito which I enjoyed so much I had another. The tuna sandwich with wasabi mayonnaise was delicious. My husband ordered the jerk spiced beer battered fish and he said it was some of the best fried fish he has ever had. Service... More

I reviewed the Salty Rim previously and was highly recommending. However, just revisited on our current Florida trip and was very unhappy. We were told their happy hour had changed but we still went as we really enjoy their calamari. When we got there the bartender said there was no happy hour which is not what they said when my... was looking for restaurant with a water view for dinner. started with calamari, was cooked perfectly. had short ribs for entree, mole was a little salty but very good. servers were polite and attentive. watermelon margaritas and mojitos are tasty. only negative is that we could have had some music on the outside dining area.
