Description: For everyone who loves redemptive powers of the sea and the sensual tastes of the very freshest foods and great drinks, the cure is indeed here: St. Pete Beach’s most festive dining experience, The Salty Rim Grill. The Salty Rim is something from the imagination of an old Florida dreamer or Buffet song. the fresh food is influenced by the great tastes of the Caribbean, Florida Keys and places that rim the Gulf of Mexico. But it’s even more than that, The Salty Rim is a state of mind; the nearest faraway place that the fun loving people of Tampa Bay can escape to… and please when you enter, be sure to check your worries at the door.

So many Florida waterfront bar and grill-type places all have that same formula menu; fried fish, fried shrimp, wings and mozzarella sticks etc which is sad because there are few better dining experiences than sitting in your most comfortable clothes i.e. shorts and flip flops and looking out at the water with the sun going down. But Salty Rim breaks... More

The drinks here are always good and the food is mostly good. Didn't care for the coconut shrimp and the burgers can be sometimes overcooked, but any of the Jamaican dishes are excellent.

Food was overall good. I used a groupon ($20 for $10) which made it a great stop. This would not be my first pick to pay full price. The service was lacking but it was late and the bar area was busy.

Had dinner here with my husband and daughter. This is a casual eatery with a surprising menu. Several seafood choices, burgers, salads, sandwiches and fresh oysters. The service was good, food was delicious and prices were reasonable.

Popped into this cute place and enjoyed a couple of cocktails and appetizers. The Fiesta Calamari was good, but the Poblano Queso…GREAT!! I would return for that tasty one!!

I bought a Groupon for the Salty Rim while we were in St. Pete Beach for Thanksgiving week. I was excited to try it out based on reviews, but left disappointed. We wanted to sit outside, but it was too smokey so we sat inside. I'm on vacation and wanted a drink, so I asked the waitress what was their... More

My friends went one night here and have been back several times for lunch now, the food is always good and service is excellent. We love the patio and drinks are reasonably priced. The Mac n cheese is awesome!!

I enjoy sitting on the outdoor deck and looking at the water with a burger and a beer for lunch. The service is spotty since it seems they have a large turnover of their staff. The beer selection is very good with many craft beers.

We stumbled on the Salty Rim while touring around on a bright sunny day, being from Syracuse we wanted o have a relaxing drink with a view, we found that at the Salty Rim, we were greeted and served by a spry young bartender/travel adviser named Emily, she served great drinks, the appetizers were delicious and she gave us some... Excellent location and fabulous grouper sandwiches. Right on water with just enough shady spots to allow you to sit a spell. Burgers rock too. Stop on for a rum runner as well.
