For everyone who loves redemptive powers of the sea and the sensual tastes of the very freshest foods and great drinks, the cure is indeed here: St. Pete Beach’s most festive dining experience, The Salty Rim Grill. The Salty Rim is something from the imagination of an old Florida dreamer or Buffet song. the fresh food is influenced by the great tastes of the Caribbean, Florida Keys and places that rim the Gulf of Mexico. But it’s even more than that, The Salty Rim is a state of mind; the nearest faraway place that the fun loving people of Tampa Bay can escape to… and please when you enter, be sure to check your worries at the door.

Great Seafood Conch Chowder

Went here for dinner on 5/18/15 the chowder was a mouthful of spicy deliciousness. I had the cajun pasta also. My friend and I stayed for free trivia they have on Monday nights at 7pm. Dj Dan is the host and does a fantastic job engaging the crowd. Fun place.

I had the Andouille sausage burrito with seasoned potatoes. It was really flavorful and plenty to eat. I then had the shrimp and grits to go for lunch and they were also really good.

The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that it closed earlier than advertised. However, when we arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday night right after they had already closed things down (when we needed a late meal), they brought us a menu and asked us to order whatever we liked. We had already been turned... More

We vacationed in St. Pete's and came across the Salty Rim on a Groupon. We were not able to get an outdoor table but the indoor dining was spacious and nice. The kids love that their was a playground right next door. They played out after dinner and we could watch them through the window and enjoy an after dinner... More

Most "beach" style restaurants are typically mediocre...and run sloppily. You know the place...you try it once and then say ..."Never again". This is totally opposite. First of all, on the water. Nice outside seating...very pleasant. Waitress ....shout out to Sonya...big smile..friendly...fun. Made it extra special Inside is clean and nice..and very well decorated...in a different and fun way. stuff I've... More

A friend of ours ate here and told us about it. We checked it out and were extremely happy. Since we were tired of seafood we tried the "Black & Blue Burger" and the "Ropa Vieja Sandwhich. We definitely enjoyed both of these sandwiches. Our server "Kristy" (sp?) was great too. Can't wait to go back..

My wife ordered a "Dreamsicle" made with ice cream and the smile on her face told the whole story ... this was the place for fancy drinks. We had dinner with friends and the food was good - only issue was that I though I was ordering a hamburger but I got a chicken sandwich ... Seems that their menu... More

This mistaken identity location, turned out to be a blessing, in disguise. After having a delay, in seating, my hubby rec'd a complementary Rum Runner. We opted, for peel/eat shrimp w/their "smashed" potatoes. I even tried their cole slaw w/blueberries. It was pleasantly, refreshing. To finish it off, we had their homemade brownie/ice cream/chocolate drizzle, which was nearly a meal,... More

What a gem of a place less than a mile from home. Had drinks and dinner. Our server was a sweetly and stopped by many times to see if we needed anything. All at my table each agreed our meal was fantastic, drinks weren't watered down, music was great and not so loud we couldn't hear one another speaking. We... More
