We had dinner there for the first time in three years. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday night. We ordered the savory Brie, which was delicious but cold in the centre. The fish tacos were great and Kobe beef sliders were very tasty, but the rutabaga fries were very soggy. Service was good and attentive but they didn't clear our... More

If you want to meet "The" Morning Person, go to this place and ask to be seated at one of Gilbert's tables. We were and he was both helpful and entertaining, doing more in one minute than most waiters do in five. The food was also great and Mrs. M and I always like to experience local, non-chain restaurants.Try it,... More

We were walking around St Pete in the pouring rain and saw the Steam and Chill and they advertised house made sangria. We decided to stop in and give it a try. We grabbed a table in the bar area and got some sangria. We got the White Wine flavor and it was very good and decently priced. We only... More

If you are looking for a diversion away from all of the local seafood dives here, try this place. The ambiance was quaint and well thought out. The Tapas (small plates) were very good. We tried a savory Brie, Thai chicken skewers, and a spinach dip. The first two were fantastic. My 18 year old son and I could not... More

Loved my hand crafted coffee and waffles....breakfast food was priced a bit high in my opinion, but tasted great!....nice staff, cozy atmosphere..sat on the coffee side only..did not experience the restaurant....went a few times as it was .7 mile walk from the Howard Johnston....

We went to chill about 2 years ago and it was fantastic. Unique appetizers, live music. We thought we would try it again while we were on town for a long weekend. The young man who greeted us was very nice and sat us at the "chefs table ". This gives you a view of the chefs preparing the food.... More

As the Suncoast Beach Trolley neared St. Pete Beach I could definitely feel a chill coming on, and suddenly there it was: Steam and Chill Food Haven and Lounge. Our dear friends, Sweet Polly and her Underdog hubby, had suggested that our lives would forever be incomplete if we didn't Chill with them, so the Belle and I did just... More

Not up to ratings. Below average. Waiter did not reimburse for an overcooked piece of fish sent back. Pretty empty when we walked in for high season in St Pete. Don't waste your time and money

Don't know if we ate at Chill or Steam. But we stopped in for breakfast. Thought the vibe was weird, service just short of unfriendly. Food was good except the home fries were dry and overcooked. Coffee was OK. Def would not run back for breakfast.
