Great Local Flavors

Old style dinning, nothing fancy but, great decaf coffee and simple meals. With many things places to choose from, this place was really cool. As seniors, we enjoy simple sandwiches for lunch and my grilled cheese and tomato was good. My girlfriend had their burger. We will go back.

Driven past here so many times and always wondered........but saw the pulled pork, fries & 'slaw lunch special for $7.95 and just had to make the effort. Glad we did. A typical diner from back in the day (as they say) built in 1954 so the waitress told us. For the price and expectation there was not a lot wrong... More

Don't drive by this place! Blink and you'll miss it, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in just great dinner food. Excellent breakfasts, burgers and BLTs for lunch. Good service and they never let you coffee cup go empty, just like the good old days. Always check they're lunch specials. I've has two and both were... More

One of the worst breakfast I have endured. Burnt toast, under-cooked eggs, and poor quality meats. The dining room needs a good cleaning and a update. There are better dining choices nearby.

Been there several times in the past but not for a number of years. Don't know if it's changed hands since the last time I visited. If you want a reasonable breakfast without the frills and at a good price then this is a place for you.

First Time there: A friend and I went in for 12noon lunch/breakfast after walking around the Cory Ave Farmers Market street thing. All the other places around the Market were busy and a wait time, Gayles was around the corner and pretty empty (first clue). We entered and seated ourselves which was fine. There were 8 ppl in there total.... More

We have driven by Gayles for years, but never considered dropping in for a meal. We decided to give it a try with other family members and had a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The single waitress was amazing, serving the entire place with ease. We had different options for breakfast - the special, omelettes, eggs, etc. The best... More
