Casual seafood restaurant with good food

Low key, good seafood and reasonable prices. Grilled seafood special was very good as were the fried oysters. Servers were a bit overwhelmed.

We were in the area for a short amount of time and wanted what the Gulf coast is known for, grouper fish. Upon a few recommendations, we found ourselves at Dockside Dave's in St. Pete Beach. Small beachy type of bar/restaurant on the bayside of Gulf Blvd. The bartender/waitress had a rough around the edges sense of humor to her.... More

We could have eaten here every night on our vacation!!! We thought we had had fresh fish before until we ate here. AMAZING grouper. We had the lemon pepper grouper and country fried (lightly/lightly battered) captain's sampler plate. The side veggies were the best I had as well. If you think veggies are veggies...think again! The seafood bisque was phenomenal!... More

We normally eat at the Dockside Dave's in Madeira Beach, but this time we stayed in St. Petes beach. The food was very good as it always is. We had the fried Grouper sandwich and onion rings. Both are exceptional. Whenever we're in the area, we will always make this one of our "go to" places to eat.

I read the reviews and knew I had to try this place for grouper. We pulled in and wondered if they were open. It's not well lit and being on Super Bowl Sunday most places were closed. It's just a hole-in-the-wall, but so is our favorite hang out in our hometown. Once inside we walked in through a nice looking... More

Other reviews seem right on, place is very deceiving in the outside/bldg unassuming appearance and casual inside decor. Hides amazing food! We wanted good local seafood and got exactly that! I had the Captain's Platter with shrimp, scallops, and grouper. We both chose the lightly blackened grilled option and loved it. Flavorful but not overdone, seafood flavor came through nicely.... Amazing grouper sandwich...don't miss the chowder. And the tomatoes were very ripe and delicious. Don't miss for fresh scallops.

We went to Dockside Dave's on two occasions. Mainly because my wife couldn't get enough of there fish taco's. I had their grouper sandwich with fries and onion wrings and the onion wrings were amazing absolutely huge.

We walked into this place and it seemed like it was an indoor family picnic with all of the picnic tables. When I ordered Surf and Turf for under $22 didn't expect much. But to my surprise it was very very good. I was with seven other people who all ordered something different and they also enjoyed their dinners thoroughly.... More
