Great for a group with kids

We ate here twice during our week on the island. One time I had barbeque and the other blackened shrimp. Both were good, perhaps not great but tasty and a generous amount. We had kids with us and they were very accommodating and the kids liked their "kids meal". My wife loves smoked mullet and they... read more

Based on the glowing reviews some people had given this place, I really--really, really--wanted to like it. We went on a Tuesday evening around 5:30 and while the place was busy, in no way was it full. We (a group of 8) were seated quickly and our waitress was quick to get our drink orders. We ordered a variety of... More

First time eating here today. Service was great and food was delicious! Had the oysters rockafellar and they were delicious! Did not leave hungry and prices were to be expected. Will definitely be back again!

This was the best meal had by all while we were on vacation. The service was so friendly. We were sat immediately. The drinks were cold and refreshing. My daughter ordered the chicken strip kids meal and you could tell the chicken was battered in house and not bought! The fried shrimp was fresh and crispy, much better than previous... More

We actually eat Beach Pit food twice while on St. George's Island, on our way in and on our way out. Both Sunday meals, a week apart. As we came to St. George and got settled in our house (6 adults, 4 young kids,) we were ready for dinner. We ordered take out for dinner the first Sunday. We had... More

Ate breakfast at The Beach Pit and really enjoyed it. Good variety, very pleasant service, good food. Prices are a bit high, but it's the beach ... the prices everywhere are a bit high. Enjoyed it and would definitely eat here again.

Our family tried BJ's Pizza and The Blue Parrot before The Beach Pit. The Beach Pit is comparable in price. Yes, it is expensive. You're at the beach! The food, however, was better here than at the other places. We enjoyed steamed oysters and crab legs. Really good margaritas. My two children loved their hamburgers and fries. My father thought... The bacon was amazing...breakfast omelets delicious. Cheesy grits were delicious. Biscuits and gravy...biscuit was underdone, but white gravy and sausage was delicious. We went back for lunch. Pulled pork, some of the best I have ever tasted. Beef brisket was phenomenal. Hush puppies very tasty. Wait staff very attentive. Good value. Plenty of food for the price. We would go... More

$70+ for BBQ was outrageous!! 18% gratituty automatically added (for not great service) -- ripped off! Even had to send my daughters grilled CHEESE sandwich back bc there was no cheese on it and the 2nd one was NO better! How can you screw up a grilled cheese?!?! This place is a joke! Will NOT go back or recommend!
