Good Breakfast

We ate here two years ago and enjoy it Went for breakfast twice this May. The only fault I had with them, which isn't really a fault but still it was unusual was they only gave you one piece of toast. You could ask for another slice and there was no charge. I guess they are trying not to be... read more

This restaurant was clean and had a great selection of food. We had steamed crab legs and oysters on the half shell. My granddaughter had a hamburger and said it was one of the best she had ever eaten. We also had breakfast one morning and it was cooked to our delight

We were served a couple of the appetizers we ordered but after more than an hour and a half waiting for the rest of our meal we got up to leave (we weren't the only ones who left for this reason). When I went to pay for what we had been served the waitress said we "couldn't leave without paying... More

Went there on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The place was dead. Ordered rib dinners to go and bourbon pecan pie for dessert. Order was out in less than 15 minutes, and only 2 other customers showed up. The ribs were very tender and flavored well with a smoky taste. The sides were also good and the bourbon pecan... More

I was surprised to hear the recent negative reviews because the beach pit has been our go-to restaurant for years. Sounds like the joint just had a bad day. Maybe someone had called in sick. It is beach casual service, but the BBQ and fish have always been good. The BBQ beans and fried okra keep me coming back. We... More

Amble up to the entrance off a gravel parking lot in town. There are a couple old cats, hidden beneath the benches on the porch. They watch you but are disinterested... as all older, laid back, beach cats are. The restaurant’s interior is reminiscent of a wood cabin. There’s a mirrored bar along one wall. Above it is a shark-bitten... More

Because of the limited choices on SGI we ate here a few times. First visit we sat at a picnic bench on the screened patio. Tried the bbq sandwiches at a recommendation of a local. Brisket sandwich was very good. Very inexpensive. On our second visit we couldn't sit on the porch because someone had hosed it down. Not a... More

I was there at the same time as Susan C on May 18 - for my birthday dinner! We ordered a water and diet Pepsi and asked for a drink menu. Ordered an appetizer which we never got after 45 minutes. Never got a drink menu from the bar, nor the drink I asked for that she was going to... More

A little on the pricey side considering a large OJ was $4.75. Had the veggie omelet, side of sausage links and the OJ. My husband had short stack, side of bacon & 2 eggs with coffee. Our bill was $30+. The for was good though. If you aren't looking for a specific sit down b'fast, grab it to go at... More

I have never in my life, in any consumer experience, been treated so badly and had such poor service. We tried to stick it out but finally, after waiting and hour and forty minutes for our entrees, just gave up and had to leave. And it went downhill from there. All I can say is just stay away from this... More
