4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014 NEW

We love the fun atmosphere and music at Eddy Teach's, as well as the fact that your dogs can come. If there was a 3 1/2 star rating, I think that is what I would go with, so I rounded up to 4. We are long time/fairly frequent SGI visitors and enjoy the casual ambiance, and they have a huge... More

No trip to SGI is complete without a trip to Eddy Teach's! I had read previous reviews so I went in not expecting a 5 star restaurant, but a cool place to hang and eat oysters. Well, I wasn't disappointed. Seating is outside on picnic tables or on stools at a bar area. There was also live music. I went... More

Went here for dinner last night. There was live music which was the only good thing about the place and why I rated the atmosphere at a 4. The food was bland, everyone at my table agreed. The service wasn't that great, took forever to get a check and then when we asked the waitress for it, it was another... More

We have been going to SGI for years but never visited Eddie Teach's Raw Bar. Decided to give it a try on Wed, trivia night. The place was packed but our family enjoyed the night. Service was slow and locals definitely have the edge with wait staff.

Good oysters I had a shrimp po boy, it was ok , a little disappointed to only have six shrimp on it. Service was ok but certainly less than friendly and helpful. They put sauces on the table and did not explain what they were. We had to flag someone down to find out what the mystery sauce was (looked... More

Don't bother to dress up, just go. There is usually a great band ( outside) , raw oysters, beer, it has been crowded every time I've been there, locals and visitors. Laid back, easy, fun. Oysters are fresh, beer is cold, service is friendly someone always does something amusing on the dance floor ( they may not recall in the... More

Went here with a friend right at the start of the 4th of July weekend. Great oysters and ice cold Stella beer. The servers were efficient and friendly and the people watching was great. This is not a water front restaurant but it is very close to the beach. Sometimes they have a band playing. This is an open air... More

We just happened into Eddy Teach's due to a sign that said OYSTER HOUR 3:30-4:30. A quick glance at my watch told me to check this particular sign out. Outdoor seating in the shade with a nice breeze. The server's first question was if we were here for oyster hour, my response...why yes, yes we are. He asked how many... More

Oyster just ok, they need to stop pouring ice on top, by the time you get them the ice washes away the thru flavor. Not really worth the full price, $13.00 per dozen. Warm non alcoholic drinks. Confused and inexperienced servers. Best thing we had was the "pound" of boiled shrimp.

Food and service is horrible. Appalach is the only place for real food. Nothing on the island is worth eating. Once was ok. Horrible !!!!!
