My wife went into the bar during happy hour . The lounge was packed with retirees like us playing spin the wheel. We had fun and the drinks were reasonable. We decided to stay for dinner and sat at the bar. My wife had the seafood pasta which was very good and I had the fried oyster dinner. My oysters... More

We had a group of 9. 7 adults and 2 children. There was no one dining when we arrived at 4:30. There were several people at the bar. The issues started with the drink order. 3 of us asked for a glass of Pinot Grigio. The Waitress came back and told us the "bar" was out of Pinot and that... More

We last dined here almost three years ago. This visit ten of us were looking for food after a round of family mini-golf up the street. Our server was very friendly, but not very efficient. She didn't seem to know much about anything and kept running back and forth to the kitchen and the bar, after repeatedly giving us incorrect... More

No place was open today for food. Hotel that we were staying at said we had to go into historic St. Augustine to get food. 10 miles away. Driving down A1A not too far from the hotel we saw a sign said We're open. The place was called The Dunes Cracker House. So glad we saw that sign we both... More

Built more than a hundred years ago, the “cracker house” is named after the cowboys who stayed here after cracking their whips all day. The owner has retained the rustic & rough character of a hundred plus year old building yet serves excellent food at affordable prices. We found it because of the daily “two for one” offers, that also... More

We were staying in a hotel just down the road. Decided we would try this place as it looked nice from the outside. Only couple of people in bar area no one in the restaurant, we asked for a cocktail and the girl said she could only make a couple of different ones. When we received our food, some of... More

We enjoyed great seafood at reasonable prices...delightful old building with great ambiance and super friendly owners and staff. The fireside room was beautifully decorated for the thanksgiving season....loved that they'd hadn't jumped the gun and decked the halls already!

I saw some bad reviews on here but I must say the food was amazing. The chicken on the sandwich was hand breaded and cooked perfectly. Even the picky kids liked their food. The building is old but full of character. The building itself could probably use a little work but it isn't dirty and the food is great.

Wednesday nights order a drink, bartender flips a coin, if your correct, drinks free. That simple. Never had the food.

although its amazing history … i was very discouraged . Terrible Service . Our Steaks were burnt to the point where you couldn't eat them . Our drinks tasted funny … Restrooms very just nasty and completely unsanitary . I took me over 1 hour to even get my food and much less that it was not fully cooked .... More
