Excellent Mexican Food

We've now been to Playa C-M a number of times, and each time have been delighted with our meals. This is not your usual chain tex-mex. The family is from the Yucatan, and they cook real Mexican, corn tortillas and all. We've had a number of the specialty dishes, and all were delicious. The owner... read more

Our family stopped here while we were in St Augustine on vacation. It was Cinco de Mayo. All our food was very good and the owner was very friendly. The service was prompt and we would go back there again if in the area.

Ate there because of the good reviews on Trip Adviser and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the owner was a delight. Prices were reasonable and the proportions were large. The owner made us feel at home and when we finished eating he got his guitar and sang to us. What fun!! Will definitely go here again.

This is the best Mexican food in St. Augustine, FL. Owned by a wonderful Mexican family! I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered.

I hate to be a downer with all the other good reviews, but let's just say I had a bad experience. The service was friendly, prompt and pretty great, but the food was not that good. It came out pretty fast, so I don't see how it could have been freshly prepared. Maybe we were there too early or something.... More

We have eaten here twice and it's consistently delicious. Get the ceviche! So good. Sometimes the owner will get his guitar out and sing which is pretty great. Anything al pastor I would recommend.

We went here based on yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. It is a good family run restaurant. Don't expect fancy decor. However, the food was good and a nice change from the chain restaurants. The prices were reasonable and the service was also good. One of the owners stopped to sing a song, and he was very good.... More

Delightful food and service. everything was fresh and made in house. Ask for the habanero sauce for a little more heat and tons of flavor.

We had great food and service at lunch and enjoyed souch we decoded to go back for dinner and tried different things. All was extremely good. Beer specials were great during happy hour which at beginning of week is all day long! We had cheese dip and cherizo cheese dip and both were good. We had combos for dinner and... More

We went there for dinner and were very pleased with the friendly staff. One cannot call this place just a Mexican restaurant. It has influences of Latin America, particular the Yuccatan. For instance we had Chili Rellenos with a white sauce. i had the Choc-Mool chicken. These both were different but fantastic. Javier who is the owner and from the... More
