This place used to be good but the recent changes to the menu made it a very expensive place with not so good food. Presentation was off. Stay away many many better places to visit

I am sorry you feel that way, I have had a new menu every three month since we open in 2006. Part of our concept as the tasting room is being a place to try and explore new taste. I can also assure you that the Manchego cheese appetizer is the same price and portion, since we weigh it every time. Manchego... More

A very well prepared, orchestrated and tasty dinner was served to our group of 18 last week. From the pre-selected Tapas appetizers, to the choices for a main course, all was handled very well for our relatively large group. The restaurant is cozy, and that is the feeling that we walked away with. Save room for dessert - it will... More

The Tasting Room had been recommended by a friend who is a tried and true "foodie". We loved the idea of a tapas menu where we could share/taste a variety of new dishes. The dining room was not particularly busy on this Thursday night, but we did learn that there was a wedding party in the private dining room. Unfortunately,... More

Three of us went to the Tasting Room for dinner on Friday March 7th. This may be one of the most sophisticated restaurants in St. Augustine. One thing we all noticed at once was the music was too loud, I don't know how the diners sitting on the couches up front (pretty cool) dealt with the sound level. We ordered... More

The Tasting Room is on our list of to go places on vacation each year. This was our third visit to the Tasting Room and this time we were disappointed. The food was delicious but my husband ordered the seared scallops dinner. The plate had three scallops with two tablespoons of mashed potatoes. Not much food for the price. We... More

We had a reservation for a Thursday evening, and were glad we did, as the restaurant was full shortly after we arrived. The staff was very attentive and helpful with assisting one of our party who had food allergies. Our order was quickly taken, then given that we ordered largely the tapas style plates, the food started arriving quickly after... More

I hadn't been to the Tasting Room in over a year--but had always enjoyed it-so stopped in on a Friday night..to find wonderful music--superb food (they have upped their game)--and ( I know it sounds hokey, but it's not) a sleight of hand magician who was charming ("No tips. The restaurant pays me.") Had the manchego cheese appetizer with cherries... More

We were visiting Old Town for Bike Week and had fantastic food at the Tasting Room. The wine list is awesome! Our service was okay, especially the girl who is the hostess. She really is not much of a hostess in my opinion. This is an upscale place with high quality food and drink and needs someone more suited to... More

For higher end dining in St. Augustine, The Tasting Room is a great choice. My husband and I have spent a lot of time in Spain and are in love with Spanish food, the simplicity and perfection of ingredients, and our dinner hit it just right. We shared several small tapas plates among four of us and we were delighted... More

Stopped in for casual lunch, so we both orderded Tappas-size portions. The waiters at the outside tables were on two different planets; our waiter told people to sit anywhere they liked and the other waiter made people get up and seat somewhere else! The menu was very nice but the food was better than expected. The chef could compete with... More
