Pastries to Die for

It was so hot, we just could not bring ourselves to have a full meal outside. The Pecan pastry was incredible. Definitely stop by for to-go, if nothing else.

We went here because of high reviews, but I didn't experience that. We had and empanada and the sausage roll and they were just ok. They were out of the advertised soup of the day; however, the alternate (veggie gazpacho) was very good. The veggies were fresh and crisp.

Came here based on TripAdvisor reviews. Small selection. Empanadas were dry. I didn't try the pastries. Nice outdoor seating area. Decent for a quick bite but that's all.

We happened across the Spanish Bakery while walking down St. George Street, and we are so happy we did! We had the lunch combo which included a choice of an entree, (I had the empanada, my mom had the soup) a dinner roll, a cookie, and a soda. It was plenty of delicious food for a very good price! We... More

I can't get empanadas where I live so I was delighted to find them here and they were delicious. We also bought a couple of scones that were very good. This place is right in the village so it makes it convenient while you are shopping.

We found this by accident they were offering pastries at 2 for 1 at the end of the day. We had the cherry and caramel apple turnovers as well as the chicken empanadas. The turnovers were wonderful for breakfast the next day!

I have been going to St. Augustine since I was nine years old, and this place has been a fixture for as long as I can remember. The empanadas are excellent, and my husband always get the soup. I can't remember the official name, but it's like chili without the beans. Very good. Their cookies are freshly made - I... More

Almost literally a hole in the wall that you might miss, this little cafe has inexpensive but very tasty morels. They have an excellent Minorcan Datil hot sauce and mustard to complement the empanadas, sandwiches and sausages they serve. They provide a quick delicious break from your stroll down the busy shopping streets in historic St. Augustine. GO THERE you... More

This is a very small storefront which displays pre-made lunch items. The empanadas were okay, the soup was fair. Great if you need to pick something up on the run, otherwise not a great selection.

If you have a mid afternoon hankering for a yummy snack while walking around the old town then stop on in for a Montado sandwhich. The homemade bread is top notch
