Very Good and Popular so Get There Early

The Spanish Bakery is a St. Augustine tradition and is very popular, so it can get very crowed around lunch time, and they sometimes run out of the more popular items by 1:30 or so. This is a small out of the way cafe and bakery serving Spanish fare , soups, and baked goods. Had the serrano ham and manchego cheese sandwich lunch special and it was enough to get me through the afternoon. Only outdoor seating but quaint and good quality food.

The Bakery is a very quaint place with not much of a selection of baked goods. Seating outdoors is pleasant and comfortable.

We happened upon this cafe and wanted to grab a quick lunch with the kids. Everything we had was really tasty. The Piccadillo soup was awesome! The only thing that didn't wow me was beef empanadas- a little bland. Will definitely return to grab a quick lunch.

We had a chicken empanada and a beef empanada. The chicken was definitely better. The service was ok. You could tell the guys behind the counter didn't want to be there. This used to be family owned, but I'm not sure it still is. Don't get me wrong, what we had great food. We got 2 empanadas, a drink, side... More

The food here was excellent. We all ordered a little something different, but we all enjoyed our food. There were two little picnic tables outside to stop and eat, and they were shaded which was a nice break from the heat.

Excellent empanadas! This little resturant is tucked away behind another little store, but I am so glad we found it. They have a limited menu of soups, desserts and empanadas, but the whole shop smelled amazing! We tried the chicken and the beef empanadas and we were smiling from ear-to-ear! Try one- you won't be dissapointed. Loved the outdoor shaded... More

We received fast service although a line soon formed behind us. I ordered an empanada and a delicious salcedo salad. I was prepared to be disappointed in the salad as it was prepackaged from the fridge but the ingredients were fresh and varied -- artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, olives. The dressing was also tasty. Others in our group had... More

This hidden gem is a great place to get a limited menu of soup, empanadas and desserts. The food is very good and the staff lovely. A great place for a quick reasonably priced meal.

We are glad you loved our empanadas. We make them in both beef and chicken, but beef is by far the most popular. More

The smell drew us in... Wow! Had some empanadas and sweet potato turnover all were really good. There was to much to try but I will be back.
