Good place in the Old City to stop in for a quick bite at a great price. Empanadas are especially tasty.
What used to be a fabulous secret has a new management. The food is still great, but I missed a few things on the basic menu and was disappointed the prices had moved up from Holy Cow! cheap to just a normal bill of fare. The new management changed the cash only policy (Yippie), but she must have been stressed... More
This used to be a favorite stop of ours, but no longer. It's still great sitting in the courtyard for lunch or a quick snack, but the empanadas that used to be so good are now terrible. The dough is too thick, there's little filling and, what there is is dry and nearly tasteless. Thank heavens they had datil sauce... More
I wanted to eat at different places while on vacation. This is a little out of the way place. It is definitely worth looking for. Not a big menu but food was delicious! Loved eating on the table outside.
Great authentic Spanish food, prepared fresh daily, awesome baked goods. Friendly staff, reasonable priced. Nice outside picnic area, no inside service. Simple dining, counter service only. Love this place.
Had a wonderful lunch here including fresh chicken empanadas and soup. We had cookies afterwards and they were delicious! We were able to sit outside at a picnic table where our grand daughter had a great time.
Please bring back the Spanish Bakery! Just went in to buy cinnamon cookies and the price is now $2.00 for three cookies. Most of the shelves were empty. The couple in front of me walked out when they couldn't find what the were looking for. It just doesn't feel like the same place I've been going to for over 25... More
My son and daughter-in-law took me to St. Augustine (My first time) and of course no trip is complete without a visit to the Spanish Bakery. It did not disappoint! We had steamy bowls of wonderful picadillo and rice, beef empanadas and fresh, crusty rolls. As we were enjoying our lunch...$6.50 for entree, roll and cookie (chose the cinnamon)...a young... More
Had their lunch combo which included a meat empanada, bread, cookie and drink. Wife had chicken noodle soup in lieu of the empanada which she loved. Ate outside in the courtyard. Affordable and located in the heart of old town.
