Wee wandering Canucks were looking for a local seafood go-to & found it here...A-plus house salad to start (try some hot sauce to further zip the slaw). Catch was excellent, either stuffed or blackened. Shrimp/scallop combos...can't go wrong. Food: varied menu selections, reasonably priced, and came out pretty quickly. I was disappointed, however, that I couldn't get a baked potato because I was dining before 3pm. I visit St. Augustine several times a year, but had never been to Schooners. Tried it for lunch this week. I went for the Minorcan clam chowder. As good as any I've had in St. Augustine. Tomato-based. Deliciously spicy and fresh! Also had blackened Mahi, and it too was prefectly cooked. Very reasonably priced. more

This was the best meal we had during our trip to Florida. Stopped there for lunch on the way to the airport in Jacksonville. The fish and fried shrimp were excellent as well as the onion rings. Meals came with 2 sides and it was a lot of food at very reasonable prices! more

Had dinner tonight at Schooner's. There were a lot of local grey hairs having dinner there. Nothing wrong with that. My wife and I shared a order of onion rings. Best I've ever had!!
