So sad to advise that this wonderful French pastry café has closed it's doors for good. But let's face it after 48 years supplying St Augustine with it's wonderful pastries I think both Guy and Christine DeNoel deserve a well earned rest. Thank you for your years of service. Will be missed for sure.

Many years ago while on vacation in St Augustine, we stayed at the Secret Garden B&B where the owner every morning would bring us fresh croissants and pastries from this delightful French Pastry shop, today is the first time we have ever been into the restaurant, but it will not be the last. As a review stated it is somewhat... More

Before Guy and Christine DeNoel opened their St. Augustine place in 1966, Guy DeNoel was brought over from Belgium to be the French pastry chef for Jackie Kennedy. (Yes, he's that good.) Light and flaky croissants, French bread made to order for weekend pickup, and pastries from scratch. No preservatives. Also, sandwiches on homemade croissants or French rolls. By design,... More

Had a delicious croissant sandwich and a small fresh fruit salad after visiting El Galeon. Pleasant surroundings, but needs a major overhaul. The newspaper clippings and trinkets are nice, however, placing them into shadowboxes or behind plexi glass would give them a new life. But, the food is fresh, served with a smile, and reasonable.

They have a great croissant sandwiches! So flaky and buttery. Friendly staff and cute decor. Remember to bring cash because they don't take anything else!

My wife and I ate here based on Tripadvisor recommendations. The very basic sandwich menu was excellent because of the quality ingredients. I had the chicken salad sandwich and my wife had chicken salad in a tomato. The chicken was well prepared and mine was served on a homemade french roll. The tomato was flavorful and ripe. Both were served with... More

My wife and I have been to Denoel several times in the past and it's one of favorite places for pastries, coffee and maybe a light lunch now and then. They have been there for 47 years and still have the original chef. The quality and flavor of the food is just great as is the service. It's not an... More

charming and set firmly in the 1950s, this is a piece of authentic un-modernised Belgium in the more or less faux town of St Augustine as per usual - early get the best pastries and patisserie - great to catch up on cycling and European and Premier Div. football ( soccer) news.

I have been coming to Denoel since I was a child and absolutely love the pastries. I have tried to find ones that were better but have not been able to so far. It is a must when I go to St. Augustine.
