Description: As General Manager, it is my pleasure to welcome you and to share a little of our philosophy. It has been my vision to create an experience inside the restaurant to match the fabulous view outside; no small feat, since we are up against Mother Nature at Her finest. The answer was to keep things as uncomplicated as possible. Well-cooked food from fresh ingredients are excellently prepared, simply presented, and well served. The beachfront building is elegant; there are tablecloths, yet it's not stuffy. Clean, bright decor is designed to enhance the view. Most important of all, the staff is talented, knowledgeable, pleasant, and friendly. There are very few truly oceanfront restaurants left in Northeast Florida. We work very hard on all aspects of our business so that you, our customers, can continue to enjoy us and the great location we occupy. Thank you. I am looking forward to the pleasureof meeting you. I really fail to see the negativity people are giving this place. Maybe my wife and I came on a great day, I don't know. The food was great. We arrived mid evening and had a fantastic view of the high tide. The shrimp was battered just enough to be great (Red Lobster, take notes). The Dukes beer was a... More

If you want to have a drink and appetizer on the water this is the place to go. But if you want to have a meal I wouldn't recommend it. The food was bland and I was extremely disappointed. For the price you pay it's not worth it.

12 of us from the nearby Serenata Beach Club decided the day before to eat at the Reef instead of at the Club. Made reservations for 7:30 arrrived on time. Table not readry for half hour. We were 1 Doctor, 2 Lawyers, 4 Wall street types and their wives. Waiter asked if we really wanted the hourderves we ordered as... More

We visited The Reef on May 16 at about 7pm. Sat out on the deck patio with our little doggie and had a wonderful dinner. Food tasted great---everything we had was delicious. But it is a bit pricey. Dinner for 3 adults (with no liquor--we all drank water--and no dessert) was $100. Good for a special occasion but not somewhere... More

Service and food leave a lot to be desired. We got there early to get seat outside, and the young lady they had seating people kept ignoring us and answering the phone! Then a man walks out, who was clearly the manager or owner, based on his dress, and he ignored us as well! A snooty woman behind us yelled... More

My wife and I took ten of our friends to the Reef. All of us live locally. The waiter was insulting saying to our guests ,"if you would shut up, i wouldn't have to repeat myself" We asked to speak to the manager who told us we should "leave and go someplace else". Many of us had been to the... More

I do not generally respond to reviews on Trip advisor, but in this instance I feel the need to defend my restaurant and its staff. I was on vacation when this incident happened but it seems so out of character for my staff I am recounting what was reported to me. Your party of 11 arrived as a party of... More

Wonderful food, service and view! Reasonably priced! Lovely restaurant with a great view of the ocean. The fried green tomatoes with sauce were just as good as homemade!

We love the Reef. You must sit outside for the greatest ocean view. The food is good too. The coconut shrimp is great. Our fish dishes were good and the portions were large. We will return.

As reviewed by others, the location on the beach is very nice. Even their parking lot borders the beach. The service was very good. I would say that the dining room was about half-full at the time and was very noisy as there is nothing in the room that absorbs sound. The food was pretty good, but the portions were... More
