I was concerned when I entered and saw the sterile want to be upscale 80s motife, and rightly so. I can't comment on the food, as I never got any. There were no tables available as a bus was in the parking lot (need I say more?). I was happy to eat at the bar, there was only one person... More

while in St. Augustine, we wanted to have a nice seafood dinner. We found the Reef and it was great. The service was exemplar and the food could not have been better. Portions were great and the atmosphere was amazing. If you are in the area this is a restaurant you want to try.

Every review talks about the view but it is only good during the day. There are no lights so at night it is pitch black when looking out the window. They had good food. The sunflower seed and molasses bread, bouillabaisse, cheese plate, and cheese cake were all good choices.

We arrived as lunch was ending, which meant our option was to order appetizers. We were fine with that, because there were several that appealed to my husband and myself. Unfortunately, we were not particularly happy with any of them. The coconut shrimp, while large, we're a bit dry. The calamari were a little tough.the mussels were fine, but the... More

In my last review of the "Reef" a few months ago, I commented on how embarassed the chef should have been with the garden salad that was served to me. My housing community had the men's luncheon there this past week and it's only right that I review the "Reef" again, showing how the salad has improved. I know, salad... More

We had a large table of family and friends. Our waitress, Laura, was wonderful! The views are beautiful, sits right in the beach. Great selection for brunch. Everything was good from the crab legs to the key lime cheesecake. Highly recommend!

Our warm welcome began with a phonecall placed to make reservations😊. Quick, easy and accommodating. We arrived and were quickly seated at a nice window table. It was a blustery day and the sea was rolling! The group of us each tried various seafood dishes. The flavors were most delectable!! Hats off to the chef👍 Our sever Laura, was incredible!... More

No atmosphere. Food not great. $28.95 for four sea scallops I think is overpriced. Sevice was extremely slow. The grouper bites were fried and I think it was time to change the oil.

A kind of tasteful elegance without any pretense permeates this place, People looking for fine dining as well as fishermen, hikers and beach-goers all arrive here for fine food. A window seat tops off the experience as the restaurant sits high on a dune parallel to the shoreline and the unobstructed view of the ocean is outstanding
