Caps is a local favorite for seafood. Being situated on the Intracoastal amid live oak trees with the large wooden deck is like walking into the St. Augustine of Henry Flagler's era. The cuisine is mostly local and fresh and prepared very well. It is a great location for large groups and family. My favorite appetizer is the blackened scallops... More

We are SO glad we went here. Everything was wonderful, starting with the view. The food was excellent as was the staff. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and our waiter was great. We were seated at a table on t h e deck, overlooking the water, under the trees. It was perfect!!!

Enjoyed our meal at Caps, although we were fortunate to go there on a weeknight during low season. The casual restaurant is on the Inter-Coastal, and the outdoor seating is nice. They do not accept reservations and given the size of the parking lot, I suspect long waits are often the case. The waitstaff is efficient and friendly. For an... More

If you want ambiance this is the place for you. We like good value for our food and it didn't happen here. The food was mediocre at best and very expensive for what you got. Service was pretty poor too. Saw a great sunset though...

The food was good and the view on the water was great. The crab cakes were my favorite and the staff were friendly. It is more upscale than I remembered. Our meal at Caps was the best out of all the food we ate during our week long visit. Definitely plan to go back.

We dined here, while visiting St. Augustine for a race. Venturing beyond, crossing over bridges and through neighborhoods, and no we were not lost. Viola, there was Caps on the Water! Absolutely looking old Florida, from the wooden floors, bright, nautical yet eclectic decorations dotting the restaurant, bar areas and bathrooms. Atmosphere is very casual, our table was outdoors, underneath... More

Caps is a gem and a rare find in an area where it's tough to find good restaurants, much less ones on the water...Caps is a great place for families, couples, large celebrations or just having appetizers and drinks with friends. Most of the seating is outside over looking the water, and can be just perfect for a romantic setting.... More

Caps is the place to go. I have eaten here at least 6-8 time over the past few years and loved it. This is one place that most of the time has Trigger fish and if you have never had it you should. I highly recommend this place for the food and the scenery.

This is a very lovely setting on the water in Villano Beach close to St. Augustine. The fish is fresh and nicely prepared with excellent pairings. The bar is really well stocked and the staff did a great job. Highly recommended.
