Great Ambience!

Caps was the ideal way to start our vacation. After a 7 1/2 hour drive, we just wanted a relaxed atmosphere & good meal; Caps hit both marks. Had went here for lunch with a friend. Enjoyed it so much, we brought back a group of 7 for dinner. At lunch I had the blackened mahi tacos with mango/cucumber salad. The fish was fresh and blackened nicely, the mango/cucumber salad was a very pleasant surprise. My friend enjoyed the beet salad so much that she ordered it again... More

We got a tip from my boyfriends dad to come here! What an awesome suggestion. It is off the beaten path but worth it. When you first go in, the seating and view are amazing. Right on the water outside. The food was also amazing. I had the crusted grouper and my boyfriend had the chicken gnocchi. Both were terrific.... More

Not what I expected, the food was amazing. Everything was fresh, service was great and the view spectacular. I loved it! A little pricy, but worth the freshness and atmosphere.

Reviews are always hard to de-cipher, but I spent a bit of time looking at the choices in St. Augustine for a meal with my group of 8 family and friends, ages 18 to 62, which includes two experienced chefs and college students who prefer boxed mac n cheese. We arrived in three cars on a Sunday around 7 PM... More

The view on the water is beautiful. The oysters are rather small. The fish comes with potatoes and vegetables. A bread basket also comes. Service is good. Place fills up on weekends. Plan to spend $30 per person. Salads are extra.

Caps is always a sure thing for us ! The location is a bit out of the way but the setting , service and quality of the food makes it worth while . We ordered 3 appetizers instead of a meal and shared them. So they are fried eggplant and goat cheese stack,Vilano Calamari and kale salad with grilled mayport... More

This place reminds me of Guanabanas in Jupiter. Great atmosphere and food. Drinks are strong and food is tasty. Tucked away in a neighborhood in Vilano Beach. You have to try this place!

Natasha was a fabulous waitress. The calamari on flash fried spinach was to die for. The she crab soup delicious and Grouper exceptional. Sitting under the trees on the deck overlooking the intercoastal is a fabulous place to dine.

If you are looking for a Florida kind of place during your stay in a tourist destination, Cap's on the Water is a good choice. You can be seated near the water on their very large deck area and enjoy the Florida sunset. They have heaters for the Floridians (!), because the weather then cools. The food was good in... More
