Historic home charm

I love restaurants in historic homes. We were in a small room that had only 3 other tables. Everyone's conversation was at a lower level. Very relaxing. The Sauerbraten was very good. That is something that is not usually found in a restaurant. The Escargot was also very good. Be prepared to... read more

We live here -- and it's a sure thing when entertaining out of town guests--or just a quick lunch! We know what to expect --! :) We must have eaten there at least 20 times. Its great. The onion soup is super-- their veal is awesome --- and their breadsticks ..just fantastic. Will be taking another out of town guest... More

I loved Le Pav on my first review. I adore the place on this one...so much to love about this restaurant.! Attentive old-school service, wonderful food, charming atmosphere and spirits roaming the environment. Oysters Rockefeller are EPIC. This is a dish they do better than anywhere else I have eaten it. I went for a dozen and savored every bite.... More

We went to Le Pavillon for Mother's Day lunch. The food was just ok. Our party had the lamb chops, fish, beef, Eggs Benedict and duck breast. The portions were small. The food was cold and the service was slow. Our waiter was very nice. I would like to try the restaurant again for dinner.

Interesting setting in an old house. Menu is influenced by the chef coming from France and his wife coming from Germany. Seems Alsatian. House salads were simply leafy lettuce, whole pieces, with a lovely vinaigrette. Served with incredible fresh yeast rolls, split, smothered in real butter and Parmesan cheese then run under the broiler. Yum!!! Husband selected pork schnitzel served... More

When we arrived i had the impression they did not know i made a reservation because they had to prepare the table for 4 persons in front of us while we had to wait. I have lived in St Augustine for a year now and have always heard excellent things about Le Pavillon but had not had a chance to check it out until the other day. Very glad I did. Located a few blocks north of the main tourist area, the restaurant is located in a charming house with several beautiful dining rooms,... More

First, we had a reservation made days before, and it seems that couldn't be found. Then we were served the brie, with crackers, not baguette bread, My onion soup was a little odd. My husband, who lived in Paris for over two years, was sorely disappointed in his meal from beginning to end. We had looked forward to coming there... More

Went on a Saturday night. Food was very good. Consider this a German Restaraunt with a French name. Most items were German, although there are some French dishes mingled in. Had the Escargot appetizer...yummy. Wife had Sauerbraten, very good and tender, although not quite as

If you want a menu that is different from your average tourist menu this is the place. German influence is all over the menu. A little pricey but good quality food and nice portions.
