This place is by far the worst place to dine in St. Augustine.... Not just the beach, the entire city of St. Augustine... Possibly in all of St. John's county. Not only is the food terrible but the decor is horrific and the building is poorly maintained . The bathrooms are possibly the worst I have ever experienced . Good... More

Don't pay attention to the bad reviews. Dunes is old, yes but has atmosphere. The drinks are super reasonably priced and a very good pour. Also, they have a new chef from Louisiana who is excellent. If you are looking for new building, then go to Salt Life up the street. You'll pay much more.

Walking by and saw the sign. Who can resist a place called Dune's Cracker House Bar and Grille. Mostly locals now that this is the off season. Older crowd early, might check it out later in the evening.

Beautiful building, just looks beachee & inviting. Food is just average. We were expecting much more.

The decor caught our eye and the food will keep us coming back! Very impressed, thanks for great service, too.

This restaurant suffered from a number of mixed reviews over the years but from our recent experience the new chef has transformed the experience. The ambiance continues to be rustic but now the food is excellent. This is the sort of chef who doesn't mind changing the menu if he finds something special in the market when he buys his... More

My wife and I are always looking for good places locally (Palm Coast/Daytona Beach/St. Augustine FL.) to go out on our weekly date night and we stumbled upon the Dunes Cracker House in St. Augustine Beach. As other reviewers have said its a rustic older restaurant. There is a lounge area where it was packed with patrons listening to nightly... More

My husband and I love coming here when we want a delicious burger. We have not tried anything else on the menu, although it looks like there could be many excellent choices. The atmosphere is very rustic, which may be offputting for some, but on our first visit, once we settled in and interacted with the friendly and efficient waitstaff... More

It's hard to believe that a couple of reviewers are actually praising what passes for food at the Dune's Cracker House. This poorly-maintained run-down old place is ripe for demolition. Supported by the college crowd looking for cheap drinks and the blue-rinse karaoke groupies who shuffle in a couple of times a week to play bingo or sing along, on... More
