The Cuban sandwich would have been better if it was hot. The service was slow. The location was good. Within walking distance to our tour we were taking.

I still dream of the cafe con leche (Traditional Spanish version of Latte btw) sandwiches and meals are Spanish authentic as it gets!! It fits right into the culture of St. Augustine. A must visit!!

We stopped here to pick up Cuban sandwiches to go. It is fortunate that we did it that way as everyone seemed in a state of chaos. Multiple diners were waiting to order; several came to the front to pay as they seemed to be ignored. The girl at the cash register couldn't figure out where tickets were or which... More

The Elana Ruth sandwich with plantains was delicious. The reason I'm giving just a two star is because my husband and I decided to share the sandwich. There was no warning on the menu nor did the server warn us that there was a two $2 sharing fee! That's outrageous! We went mid afternoon and we already ate lunch but... More

First, one has to go the the OTHER side of Old Town in St. Augustine. Sure, St George St. is compelling and the shops and places to eat abound, but south of the Marketplace are other places to eat , fewer shops (therefore less crowded) a bunch of inns and the Sisters of Joseph Mother House. There is also La... More

We had lunch here. My wife ordered the Cuban and I had the pork sandwich ($10 each). Her's was tastier and better than mine. Service (Dillon) was prompt and congenial. The weather was splendid (sunny but not too hot) so we dined outside on the sidewalk, looking up and down Aviles Street (one of hte oldest streets in North America).... More

Dylan is the best! Sangria is fantastic!! We enjoyed a lunch that included several Cuban dishes and all were superb. Our waiter, Dylan, was outstanding. He was familiar with everything on the menu and helped us with selections.

We love going to La Herencia for lunch on beautiful days like we did last week. Great traditional sandwiches and dishes from Cuba. Good Sangria too!

Tried this restaurant, it was one of the few places open on Aviles at noon on a Thursday. Aviles is the oldest street in America. This place is small about 10 tables total and a few outdoor tables on walkway. Menu is Cuban. Tried the classic pressed Cuban with sweet bread and baked plantain side. Service was fast ( Dillon). I... More

I'd heard about the restaurant on PBS a few months ago and was visiting friends in St. Augustine. 2 friends and I had a great breakfast here. 2 of us had the Guajiro, an open-faced sandwich with roast pork, black beans, salsa and cheese and a scrambled egg on Cuban bread. We agreed it was fantastic. The other person had... More
