Authentic Cuban & Nice Outdoor Seating

Third time we've visited La Herencia and never disappointed. Their Cuban pressed sandwiches are great.Too bad you can't buy a Cuban beer (yet!). While the restaurant is quite small, ample shaded sidewalk seating is a real plus. Their menu offers lots to choose from and with a little effort you can... read more

My wife and I had a Cuban sandwich. Hers came with plantain and mine with rice and beans. Only problem for her was that it was too big and she took half of it back to the hotel. Initial service was quick but a little later when more customers were present it was slightly difficult to get the waiter's attention.... More

We were craving some good Cuban food while here in Saint Augustine and looked up this little gem here on Trip Advisor so we decided to drop in...glad we did. We had a late lunch early afternoon snack here and it was delicious. We split a Cuban Sandwich which I am so happy we did as it was big and... More

Great cuban food and coffee. Well worth finding it on the oldest street in America. My wife and I both enjoy eating here, breakfast is great, dinner even better.

The absolute must do in Saint Augustine! We had lunch here one day and after reviewing the menu we had to return the next day for breakfast! Do yourself a favor and have this experience while in St. Augustine!

We thought this was such a quaint place to eat. We were on one of the oldest streets in America and the atmosphere was so nice. I had a Cuban (which I had been dying for. Seems no one in GA knows how to make a real Cuban). Hubby had an omelet filled with crab meat. They were delicious. Just... More

The Cuban sandwich would have been better if it was hot. The service was slow. The location was good. Within walking distance to our tour we were taking.

The food was wonderful, fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, especially sitting out on the quiet, narrow side street on a warm, sunny day. Service was good. Here's the part I hate to write, but I do so because this is a huge factor for me--the bathroom was absolutely filthy, sickeningly filthy. I don't care how amazing the... More

I still dream of the cafe con leche (Traditional Spanish version of Latte btw) sandwiches and meals are Spanish authentic as it gets!! It fits right into the culture of St. Augustine. A must visit!!
