We stopped by La Herencia in St. Augustine around 3 o'clock on a brisk February day. It was quiet -- well past the lunch rush -- and we had the place to ourselves. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. We both had the Cuban sandwich with rice and beans on the side. We considered getting some... More

We stopped here with our friends visiting us from out of town. While the location on the historical Aviles street is nice and unique, the cafe experience was mediocre at best. The service was very slow, the food was a disappointment. Furthermore, when I received my credit card statement recently, I found out that the charge amount was altered by... More

I had the crab omelet and it was excellent. The red sangria was perfect and the macaroons are a must if you like coconut. Some at our table had the club which was also excellent and a huge serving. I was so enjoying mine I can't even tell you what else those in my party of 10 had but the... More

Food tasted really good. Unfortunately there wasn't too many options on the menu besides sandwiches to choose from. Their coffee was GREAT though!!

A very small casual service Cuban style restaurant . We had breakfast there two days in a row . First day was a Chorizo sausage pizza ( served on Cuban bread ). The 2nd day was a Cuban omelet . I seldom eat a hot breakfast but will say I am happy I broke from the norm for these two... More

Was checking out different restaurants and chose this one craving Cuban. Felt its just ok. Ordered a chicken sandwich. Chicken lacked flavor, but the bread was great. Side of sweet plantains was fine. But the rice was too dry. The special was Pulpeto, a meatloaf. It was just ok. Some areas of the meat was really bland. Service was good... More

This place is a must on our biannual visit to St. Augustine. We found it a couple of years ago on an early morning walk quite by accident. Decided to stop in and give it a try. We are hooked! Have had the guajiro twice,as well as the cafe con leche . What can you say but YUMMY! Can't wait... More

We had lunch at La Herencia Cafe. The food was very good. I had an open faced omelet on Cuban bread that had egg, black beans and pork. My wife had a pork sandwich. The atmosphere is something I would call "Cuban casual."; The service was friendly and attentive. I would go back.

Out enjoying the area and saw this little restaurant and thought why not try. So glad we did! Food was excellent. Had Cuban Sandwich, big portion and flavored just right. The waiter, Dillon, was very good and accommodating. Right after we sat down other people started pouring in. Kinda small but homey feel. Also have outside tables to sit at... More
