Wonderful experience

I heard about this place years ago and I sure was surprised. The breakfast omelet was the best. Eat the tres leche and you'll be hooked. Limited seating, don't let the size fool you. JMH

Went in for a Cuban sandwich was recommended another sweeter bread sandwich. Awesome, best I've had outside Miami. Potato salad was really good as well. If you like homemade Spanish food this is the place.

Lovely to sit outdoors and watch the horse n' buggy's pass by. Waitress was attentive and pleasant. Food, as always, great. I ordered my "usual" roasted pork, with plantains and black beans and rice. Sangria was as good as any I've had elsewhere. Friends ordered Ropa Vieja and Media Noche sandwitch and they said they were very good. Tres leches... More

We recommend the cafe con leche to get started. My wife had a special with black beans and rice with two eggs and avacado and salsa, delicious. My omlette was very good as well, I had the tropical with sweet plantains. Fantastic server, great cooks, cold air, what more could you ask for?

Great Cuban food for a very good price. The ropa vieja is to die for-and more than generous portions. We have found that it is best to go when it is not a peak meal time as the restaurant is not large and seating is limited. Service is attentive and don't forget the desserts! Cafe con leche-excelente!

We had lunch here. Varied Cuban menu and reasonably priced. We felt we had had some real home cooked food. Do try the coafe con leche. It is amazing!

We ate here for breakfast after a morning walk of the historic district. The service was friendly and welcoming and the fare was excellent. The cafe con leche was everything you'd hope for from a Cuban coffee shop but the breakfast menu was equally up to par. We had a great meal, a nice break from the heat, and a... More

After dodging masses of tourists and visiting several excellent art galleries in Historic St. Augustine, I wandered into this small Cuban cafe for lunch. The Cuban sandwich was extra delicious, I enjoyed a Nicaraguan beer, and then a glass of the best Sangria ever. Friendly service, reasonable fare, quiet! Alas, no space for a siesta!

We stop here pretty often when that Cuban craving gets to us. I know I know can't get authentic Cuban this far away from Cuba or south fla. Well I disagree this is always a great stop for us!!
