Can always count on a good meal!

We had guests in for a few days and took in St. Augustine for the day. We consistently find ourselves going to A1A Ale House for lunch or dinner as it never disappoints both with ambiance and food and drink! Visited the brewhouse on a Sunday night. I was vey excited to try the local brews, but to our surprise they were out of their draft beers. Only had 2 choices, and the waitress suggested bud light as something they had available. We settled for dinner and ordered the burger. About 5 minutes later the waitress came back and apologized,... Didn't even think to make a reservation but we went for dinner after friends of ours said it was amazing. I can't disagree. The beer was great but the food was the best we ate in St. Augustine. Get the buffalo mozzarella meatballs... You won't be sorry. All in all it was good but they do get busy!

Good food, the beer and cheese soup is a must, use to dip the bread. We had the shrimp and lobster tacos and crab salad sandwich. Everything was excellent.

Went for dinner our first night in St Augustine, had the mango shrimp and a great IPA. Perfect ending to our 1st day on vacation. All we heard about from others was how great the burgers were - so had to try it and they didn't disappoint. Cooked to perfection and served on a sunny albeit chilly afternoon in St... More

This review is for the bar only. We didn't eat here. We were on the hideously tacky trolley tour and they pointed out that this building was formerly the largest department store on the East Coast and that local microbrewery A1A had a restaurant here. Wanting to see the inside of this historic building, we went upstairs for a sample... More

I can't give a 5 due to no lobster in the lobster bisque but the white chocolate bread pudding with dried cherries and rum sauce made up for it Our waiter was phenomenonal

When ever we visit St. Augustine, we ALWAYS stop at A1A Ale Works. We always order the rootbeer and key lime cheese cake. On this trip we ordered the Crab BLT for lunch and it was fabulous!!! We always enjoy the atmosphere and the staff are great! We have been going here since 1998. Love you guys!!!!
