Went for dinner. There was a wait upstairs so we sat at a table in the bar. It was very slow. The food was just ok, alittle overpriced for what you get. Would not go back with all the other places downtown. Overall, I feel this place is overrated. more

Our party of 4 had dinner at this restaurant at 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night in mid-June. We were offered our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose outdoor, and it was extremely comfortable on their balcony. The menu has an excellent range of food and drink choices, and we thought the prices were very reasonable. I had... more

Good service, I got the Asian chicken salad, husband got the mahi mahi sandwich. We both liked our choices, and they give huge portions. Also had drinks there and loved their sangria! more

We had finished up a ride on the Schooner and stopped by for a cocktail. We sat outside and the view would have been better had the construction on the bridge not been taking place. They make a pretty good Mojito (the hubby had a beer - can't screw that up!!). Our waiter could have been better - had we... more

My wife and I had lunch here on 5/21/09, after coming in out of the rain. Our drinks were okay, nothing special. We then both ordered their fried fish sandwich, a large piece of grouper in this case. While the fish itself was fine, the batter was way below par - some kind of cracked-malt mix i've never had before,... more

Loved the location, the Brown Ale microbrew is very good. Service was acceptable and capable. Food was a bit pricey, the portions are a bit small, but the presentation and taste was good. more

The mixed drinks were excellent and their beer was good. If you go, make sure you are able to sit on the top deck however, there was a lot of construction was going on. The food was a little pricey for what you received but if i had to do it again, I would just go back there solely to... more

Good place to sip a couple of beers but wouldn't recommend the food. Below average in quality and service. Couldn't believe observing another table being harassed by the bouncer. They were finishing their drinks, still around 12:30am and the bouncer told them to finish up or he would take their drinks and throw them out. I couldn't believe how they... more

I guess that says it all. There was nothing terribly wrong with A1A Ale Works. The hostess & waiter were pleasant. Their micobrewed beer was good & cold. I had a Pale Ale & my husband had a Red Ale. The food was ho-hum. The menu descriptions far exceeded the reality. My son enjoyed a chicken sandwich but he is... more

The service was horrible, but we didn't care. We were there for about 2:30 hours. Our waiter forgot everything, "Oh! I forgot your beer!". It was like being served by Spicoli - lost in space, but a nice guy. The food was great. Calamari appetizer was excellent, great wasabi sauce. Shrimp & Grits was my main dish. I've heard of... more
