Great for the kids

The food isn't the greatest but the location is. Don't get me wrong..the food won't give you nightmares, but it isn't top shelf you will tell your friends about. It is a great place to impress the kids though. It's right over the water and good fish feeding territory.

Since we live here, I thought I'd share that it's been in the newspaper that the Santa Maria Restaurant is now closed after a long history here in St. Augustine. Looking forward to seeing what will be there next, as it's our only downtown restaurant out over the water. My experience there was only fair, but they were in business... More

Have eaten here several times and find it always enjoyable. Fried clams and hush puppies were excellent and the service was professional. It's enjoyable to view the many boats and activity around the Lion Bridge and feeding a basket of stale bread to the fish through small ports was a treat for my two grand-children.

We have never been to an over-water restaurant where you could (and, in fact, were encouraged to) feed the local wildlife from inside the restaurant. All along the window ledges were little doors you could open and toss pieces of bread (provided by the restaurant) to waiting seagulls. In warmer weather, you could drop the food straight down to feed... More

The location we thought was very beautiful and scenic. Although, the restaurant needs repairs. The floors were uneven and had that damp feeling. The service was nice. The waitress was sweet and promt. The food along with our mixed drinks was great. During our meal, on two different occasions I got whiff of weed! Then a huge hacking cough. I... More

Great food and very tasty. Enjoy your meal while you look at the bay. Indoor or out door setting is available.

We were there in January, kind of off season. We were greeted quickly and seat next to a window with a good view of the pirate ship across the harbor. There are wooden trap doors where you can feed bread to the fish or in our case the seagulls. We did see a porpoise swim by. The seafood was very... More

Located right on the water. Smelled like a typical seafood restaurant but you could definitely see the age of the restaurant when you walk in which made me leery. However we needed to eat quick before our sunset cruise at the marina next to it. Ordered appetizers hush puppies and calamari. The hush puppies were pretty amazing and the calamari... More

We went to this restaurant because it is located right on the water and we thought that it would have a nice view. Well, it would if they actually cleaned the windows. The atmosphere is very dark and dreary, and the food tasted like frozen dinners you get at the grocery store. I'm all about saving money for mediocre food,... More

We were greeted immediately and seated in a window area with a great view. They bring a basket of bread pieces for you to feed to the fish below thru a covered slot in the window sill. It was a cold day that day so the fish weren't near the shore, but the sea gulls were! We dropped the bread... More
