No other place that I know of can offer you up fried shrimp like this place!! Order the hearty portion of 18 or 24 friend shrimp and skip the sides.(even though they are good). Try to go late for lunch or early for dinner--if you have to wait--it's worth it. If it's just two or three of you, then sit... More

Staying in a condo on vacation and owners guide with restaurants recommended O'steens as "best shrimp ever". Well I am here to prove them right. Did the 12 piece plate and they were large, butterflied and melted in your mouth. Near the lighthouse and just over the bridge from the tourist attractions in St Augustine proper. But be aware, they... More

Fast, but not pushy service. Felt like I could sit and talk for ages. Huge hush puppies. I ordered 12 shrimp - butterflied and fried, but in a very light batter. The dipping sauce made it - some version of a Russian dressing style dip. The creamed spinach is among the best ever. And double up on the sweet potato... More

After going to the Lighthouse and reading that Fried Shrimp was created in St. Augustine, it is evident that they must have eaten at O'Steen's before writing that! O'Steen's has the best fried shrimp hands down. The house pink sauce makes each bite even better. I always get the green beans and coleslaw, which are tasty too. If you're more... More

The food is excellent! They have a good variety on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. Great place to bring the family.

Tried this place based on the reviews. Decided to take out due to dining room wait of 1 hour. Shrimp was good. Unusual breaking/ batter on them. Fresh! Good size. Good value. But I have experienced better fried shrimp other places. So try it out, but do not expect the best ever.

We went on a Wednesday and it was the first time we had not had to wait. I had the fried shrimp and scallops. Loved them! Very light batter, so the taste just shines through. I love their home-made dipping sauce. My husband had the seafood casserole and while it wasn't as warm as he thought it should be, he... More

Bar set high for this famed fried shrimp joint but surprised to have place meet, maybe exceed, the lofty expectations as worlds best fried shrimp. Line already on a weekday mid-afternoon. Lady at take out window takes name for small dining room. Short wait to sit at counter so took it. Got fried shrimp platter with ice tea and food... More

We got in around 4:30 and were seated right in. Shrimp was fresh, scallops were fresh, oysters were fresh as well as the catfish. Crab cakes were filled with crab, not filler, cooked well. Would go to again.

Ate at this gem while in town for a Panic show. Had always heard about this place and finally experienced it! Old school florida cracker seafood. Waitress super friendly and said that they were known for their shrimp. Wife and I both had the 12 shrimp dinner, fried of course with two of there great sides and hush puppies. Shrimp... More
