Good authentic Spanish restaurant

I very much enjoyed this restaurant which had a surprisingly authentic feel about it with great decor and surroundings. The food was excellent and the fish cakes were among the best I have ever had. The paella was good although could have done with more rice.

I was so very happy to see the Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine. I am very familiar with the one in Sarasota. Both have the high quality food and excellent service I look forward to receiving. This time I tried the bread pudding with rum sauce. You must save room for this delicious dessert.

Good ambiance and excellent service. Paella was excellent and so was Snapper. Sangria prepared at thE table side was very good. Parking ticket is validated for the lot next to the restaurant.

If you could eat the atmosphere it would be as Excellent as the food is! The Tiles, the fountain, the music, the service, and especially the food all blend together to make dining together the great experience you expect!

Found the restaurant to be a bit pretentious. The hostess sat two older women at a table up three flights of stairs and in an alcove with a large family group outside the alcove. There were plenty of open tables around this large restaurant. It took almost 15 minutes for us to be recognized by the waitress, but she was... More

I come here every time I go to St. Augustine, even though there is one fairly close to me here. I love the food here. The atmosphere is amazing and it reminds me of my Abuela's Cuban cooking. The service is always great and I always leave satisfied.

Located in the heart of St. Augustine’s Historical District, Columbia is a unique experience even for an area with many excellent choices of restaurants. Columbia is a family owned chain of Cuban restaurants in Florida with a great history. Founded by a Cuban immigrant in 1905, it is the oldest restaurant in Florida. The St. Augustine restaurant offers the diner... More

Maybe a little overpriced for lunch. Was looking for a Cuban Dish I love but was not on the menu. Actually the Waiter was unaware of the dish requested. Had a Cuban sandwich. Was good but do not ever recall having Salami in a Cuban Sandwich! Overall. Nice staff and ambience.

We have being in both this one as well as in the original in Tampa. However, I think this is our favorite... somehow smaller and more pleasant atmosphere. Dining in a bright-covered patio here is very appealing. Food excellent in both. Sangrias are to die for... strongly recommend!
